The staff was incredible to work with. They were exceptionally organized and made everything so easy to plan. TELL US YOUR STORY: “Derrick and I met at my sister’s wedding. Derrick was a family friend of my brother-in-law and my sister had always joked she had met the perfect boy for me (referring to Derrick) but we never had a chance to meet until their wedding. Their best man introduced Derrick and me halfway through the wedding reception and we ended up dancing together for the rest of the night. We went on our first date the following weekend. This began our 9-year relationship filled with lots of love and laughter. After Christmas in 2020, Derrick surprised me with a proposal! We were so excited to be engaged!” – K

BIGGEST CHALLENGE: “The changing covid restrictions were one of the biggest challenges for our wedding planning. We got engaged during covid so we knew covid restrictions were a risk when we started planning. We both agreed that we wouldn’t delay our wedding even if there were covid restrictions at the time. A few weeks before our wedding a government lockdown was announced. Creating multiple guest lists and sending regular updates to all our invited guests was a key strategy we used to manage all the changes. We were so happy that restrictions were increased to 50% capacity in time for our wedding so that we could still have the wedding we were hoping for.” – K&D

FAVOURITE MEMORY: “The whole day! We were so happy to be able to celebrate with all our friends and family and start our new life together as husband and wife. It was perfect!” – K&D

ADVICE FOR OTHER COUPLES: “Teamwork is key! We tried to split up the responsibilities of planning based on each other’s strengths. We held regular planning meetings to check in with each other and ensure we were on track for all the items we needed to plan.” – K&D
