He made us feel comfortable from the moment we met, creating the warmest environment to be ourselves and celebrate our love. We LOVED the fact that we took our wedding photos while our guests enjoyed an amazing outdoor cider tasting experience along with an assortment of appetizers. DÉCOR, FLORAL + PLANNER: Pop Up Weddings by Lovely Weddings and Events “We were looking for a Pop Up Wedding package that was easy and fun, yet elegant, and fell in LOVE with the Lovely Weddings team! The earth tone wedding theme was exactly what we wanted! From start to finish, they made the process seamless. We left much of the planning in their very capable hands, which allowed us to focus less on the wedding to-do list, and more on each other.” – M&T

COLOUR PALETTE/THEME:

“Earth tone wedding was the vibe we wanted for our outdoor vineyard wedding. The colour palette included burnt orange, navy blue, beige, and white. We had a gorgeous triangular wooden wedding arch with burnt orange and navy bluedraping, pampas grass, assorted flowers, and a rustic rug where we would stand to exchange our vows. The flowers on the arch, blended beautifully with Tiera’s wedding bouquet and my boutonniere. Everything blended great for our earth tone wedding.” – M

OUR STORY: “I met Tiera last March at a house party. FUN FACT: I wasn’t originally going to go to this party because I was on crutches following a sports injury. Tiera was also originally going to stay home because she had work the following day. The universe clearly had other plans and we both made our way to the party. I walked in and saw Tiera’s beautiful smile from across the room and knew I had to meet her.

We INSTANTLY connected, as though we had met in a previous lifetime.

We went out on a date the next day, and the day after that, and before we knew it, she was my person. Two months later, I took Tiera to Kelowna, BC on our first ‘bae-cation’. The night before we were set to fly home, I took Tiera to Mission Hill Family Estate, a vineyard overlooking the mountains.

We had a gorgeous charcuterie spread and wine tasting. I took Tiera on a walk around the estate, and found an unreal spot by the estate bell. This… was…it! While Tiera gazed at the mountainesque scenery, I got down on my bad knee, brace and all. I’m sure I said something loving and sweet because SHE SAID YES! Just like that we were engaged, 6 months after we met we were married.” – M

EARTH TONE WEDDING WEEKEND

“Our wedding weekend was amazing! Our best friends surprised us with a bachelorette party the night before the wedding ceremony. We got picked up in a limousine, sang at an outdoor karaoke beer garden, went bar hopping, and had the time of our lives meeting new people, dancing the night away, and laughing til our stomachs hurt.

The next day, Tiera and I got ready for the big day together. Music was playing, hair and make-up were getting done, and positive vibes filled the space. We made our way to the vineyard with our best friends, so excited for what was going to happen next. As our guests took their seats, Tiera and I held hands and began to walk down the aisle. We exchanged the most beautiful vows and just like that we were pronounced married. I sang Tiera a surprise song, and following the ceremony, ran into another bride-to-be that I also performed for. LOVE WAS IN THE AIR!

We left the venue and headed straight to Old Stone Inn where we had the most amazing three-course meal and red velvet wedding cake! Then we hit the town for one last night to end off what was the best weekend of our lives. We wouldn’t have changed a single thing!

Our love story is proof that love has no timeline. Stay true and authentic to yourself and who knows, you may just find the love of your life at a house party and get married to them 6 months later!” – M&T

BIGGEST WEDDING DAY CHALLENGE:

“The biggest challenge was deciding on what style of wedding we wanted to have. We knew that we didn’t want a big wedding, but we also didn’t know how intimate we wanted it to be either. Eventually, we decided to go with what felt most right for us, choosing an intimate wedding of 6 guests. We knew we wanted the day to be about us, celebrating our love, with our chosen family.” – M&T

FAVOURITE MEMORY:

“There are so many to choose from! The best memory would have to be after we tied the knot. As we danced down the aisle, newly married, with one of our favourite songs playing in the background, we were surprised by soaring streamers that added that special touch of magic to end what was already the most beautiful wedding ceremony.” – M

ADVICE FROM ONE MARRIED COUPLE TO ANOTHER:

“We tell couples that are inspired by our love story this one piece of advice all the time… do what feels right for you and your partner on your wedding day, after all, it is YOUR day! Secondly, a stunning wedding doesn’t have to cost a fortune. At the end of the day, you’re marrying your person and that my friends, is priceless.” – M&T
