All you need is love... and

BRIDE & GROOM: Cait & Mike Abramovitz

WEDDING DATE: September 11th, 2020

LOCATION: Langdon Hall (www.langdonhall.ca), Cambridge, ON

PHOTOGRAPHY: Gary Evans Photography (www.gary-evans.ca) Kitchener, ON “I had already been following Gary on Instagram before we had even started wedding planning. He was always the clear choice for us.” – C

GUEST #: 18

COLOUR PALETTE: Natural greenery “We let the scenery speak for itself. We were married outdoors under an archway of greenery. We incorporated
colour into our outfits in subtle ways.” – C

BRIDE ATTIRE: Valentina Bridal & Couture (www.valentinabridal.ca) Waterloo, ON

GROOM ATTIRE: Channer’s Waterloo (www.channerswaterloo.com) Waterloo, ON

HAIR & MAKEUP: Pino’s Salon & Medi Spa (www.pinosalon.com) Kitchener, ON

DÉCOR & FLORAL: “We did the décor and flowers ourselves. I actually made the wedding arch from a trampoline frame turned sidewise with legs
welded on, and artificial ferns and eucalyptus leaves were attached to it. My maid of honour made our bouquets from silk flowers I purchased online.
Mike’s boutonnière was wrapped with a tuft of our dog’s fur.”- C

CAKE: “Our cake was made by my friend Julie, who was at the wedding. She’s an excellent baker who made us a two-tier cake. Layer 1 was red velvet, layer 2 was carrot-pineapple cake. Both had a buttercream, cream cheese icing.” – C

TELL US YOUR STORY: “Our wedding was simple, intimate, and perfectly us. We were surrounded by loved ones.” – C&M

BIGGEST CHALLENGE: “Planning a wedding during a global pandemic! We did a micro-wedding outdoors and guests wore masks to ensure the safety of everyone. We only celebrated with immediate family (parents and siblings) and very close friends. We both got COVID tests before the wedding and before returning to work (this was when asymptomatic testing was still encouraged). Guests sat with their immediate households, and rows of seating were spaced over 6 feet apart.” – C&M “On top of everything else going on in the world, Mike’s suit rental arrived in damaged condition from the shop he was renting it from, so he ended up having to purchase a suit and have it custom tailored the night before our wedding. I also changed wedding dresses 8 days before the wedding, after deciding I wasn’t happy in my original dress.”– C

BEST MEMORY: “Our playlist. I walked down the aisle to a string quartet version of “Snow” by Red Hot Chili Peppers. Our entire playlist was string quartet covers of rock and metal songs.” – C&M

ADVICE, ONE COUPLE TO ANOTHER: “Don’t sweat the small stuff, and roll with the punches. Life happens, and mistakes happen too.” – C&M
