Wedding Date: September 22, 2018
Ceremony & Reception Location: Waterloo Regional Police Association (wrpa.org)
“We chose WRPA because of their amazing food, large ballroom and beautiful outdoor ceremony space, as well as reasonable prices. Jackie went above and beyond what we expected on our big day, including helping the processional go off without a hitch. Thank you so much Jackie!” – A&J
Theme: “We didn’t have a theme per say, our colours were wine, grey and splashes of light pink. These are colours that I thought have always looked nice together, and fit well for the fall.” – A
How did you two meet? How did he pop the question?: “We met online (Plenty of Fish) He popped the question in his truck after all the plans he had made that day fell through, because he couldn’t wait!” – A
Guest #: 95
Budget: “Our budget was $12,000 but spent closer to $15,000” – A&J
Photographer: Tawp Photography (facebook.com/tawpphotography) “Our Photographers are friends of my sister. They offered to do our engagement photos for free as they were just looking for experience as photography is something they enjoy doing as a hobby. Our photos came back absolutely beautiful so we asked them if they would do our wedding too. They are very professional and prepared, so working with them was easy and fun. My favourite part about my photos is that they are exactly what I had hoped for. They listened to everything I requested and got all the shots I wanted. Their editing style is also beautiful.” – A

Décor: Decorating Dreams (decoratingdreams.ca)
Fav décor element: “The lights and lanterns hanging from the ceiling, as well as the backdrop behind the head table.” -A
DIY: “Our table numbers and cake topper I ordered from amazon and painted each one and dipped them in glitter. Table favours were made by my mom, myself, my grandmother and my aunt. We got the idea from Pinterest and made 114 of them ourselves. I also made my own invitations and printed them” – A

Biggest challenge: “THE SEATING CHART! This was by far the most difficult thing to do. You want everyone to have a great time and sit with people they know and will have fun with but that isn’t always possible. I tackled it with help from my parents and fiancé who could provide a fresh look and new ideas of who would enjoy sitting with who. Always ask for help!” – A
Fav wedding memory: “The whole day was perfect in every single way, but one of the best parts of the night was the last song of the night. Just as we were getting ready to leave, the DJ played “Glory Of Love” By Peter Cetera which is a song we really love. We were the only ones in the room and shared a special dance together before the night was over. My sister was able to catch it in a video on her phone which we are so thankful for, so we can always remember that moment.” – A
Advice from one couple to another: “Everyone says planning a wedding is one of the most stressful times in your life. It doesn’t have to be. I enjoyed every moment of planning my wedding and had a lot of fun with DIY’s. Involve your family, have fun with every aspect. And skip the seating chart :)” – A
