Lidia and Seaver wanted a wedding that felt elegant and special. With the unique space that Revival house offers paired with greenery and pops of blush you get that special elegant feeling. Add in a fun wedding party and you have a night to remember!…

Bride & Groom: Lidia Imbrogno and Seaver Bulbrook

Wedding Date: August 6th 2017

Ceremony & Reception Location: Revival House (revival.house)

“It looked like somewhere that people would have fun! Revival House is so romantic and elegant and after meeting Alysha and seeing the space we felt no other space would compare. We were adamant about having the ceremony and reception in the same place. Most of our 200 guests were travelling to be there so we wanted to make it easy for them while hosting the wedding somewhere a little bit different. The upstairs bar and patio made it an easy transition. We were also thrilled to be able to get married onsite without losing the “church” feel.” – L&S

Colour Palette: Green and Blush

Theme: “We wanted the wedding to feel elegant and special without overwhelming the space. Revival House as a venue speaks for itself so we thought that greenery and pops of blush would compliment the wood and gold accents of the venue nicely.” – L

Flowers:Lyric Flowers (lyricflowers.ca) in St. Mary’s did our flowers. They used greenery and blush flowers for the venue, centrepieces, garlands, and décor arrangements. For the bouquets and boutonnieres  we wanted something a bit different so they added some soft purples, which we really liked.” – L

Décor: “For décor we actually used our florist. Lyric Flowers made and hung fresh garlands of greenery and blush roses for all of the railings. They also did our card table, reception table, decorated our cake, and draped our seating sign with greenery and floral.” – L

Fav décor element: “I loved the garlands on the railings and at the head tables and Seaver loved the chiavari gold chairs and the flower petals in the aisle.” – L&S

Noteworthy elements: “We had a gender neutral wedding party! One of Seaver’s sisters was a groomsman, and I had two male bridesmaids. It was awesome! My father daughter dance with my Dad was a surprise choreographed dance. It was pretty hilarious when the Italian slow music stopped and Uptown Funk came on. We also had baseball theme late night table. Fresh popcorn, fries, and in-house battered corn dogs. I still dream about them.” – L&S

Invitations/stationery: Minted (minted.com)

Cake: Cakes By Julie (cakesbyjulie.ca) in Stratford, ON. “Seaver and I both wanted a NON fondant chocolate cake with buttercream icing. It was delicious.” – L

Wedding favours: “We made a donation to our local humane society. To give people something to take home we had cookies made that look like our dog who is a rescue from the Toronto Humane Society.” – L&S

Groomsmen and Groom’s attire: “My suit was Jack Victor I found out about them as a sponsor for TSN. I chose an ASOS suit for the groomsmen.” – S

Bridesmaids attire and accessories: “It was important to me that my bridesmaids loved what they were wearing. Everyone is more relaxed when they’re comfortable. I gave my bridesmaids a colour palette and they just had fun with it! I think you can see in the photos that everyone loved what they were wearing.” – L

Bride’s dress and accessories: “My dress was a two piece David Tutera from His and Hers Bridal (hisandhersbridal.com) in Windsor. My something borrowed was a silver ring and a necklace that my two close friends have worn since I can remember. I’m not a jewellery person so that was it!” – L

DJ: Rob Wigan (Revival House)

Hair & make-up: AlyCat Hair and Makeup (alycat.ca) (they came right to our hotel!)

Favours: Laurie’s Cookies (lauriescookies.ca) in London, ON.

Ceremony Singer: “Our singer’s name is Hannah Green. She played her ukulele and sang her rendition of “Crazy in Love” by Beyonce as the wedding party entered and “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Elvis Presley when my dad and I came in.” – L

Videographer: D’Alessandro Films (dalessandrofilms.com)

Rentals: NJS Design Event & Party Rentals (njsdesign.on.ca)

Photographer: Jeff Shuh Photography (jeffshuh.com) “Seaver found Jeff and we both loved his work right away! We felt like Jeff’s photos would be timeless. Not cheesy. His work is such that we’ll still really like the photos in 10-20 years. We love that he really took advantage of the scenery in Stratford and our favourite part of the photos is that they capture how much fun our wedding day was. Jeff really did catch everything. Somehow he was everywhere on that day. Nothing was missed!” – L&S

Biggest challenge: “I’m from Toronto, we’re living in Windsor and were planning a wedding in Stratford. So that was difficult. We tackled it by setting aside weekends to go to Stratford to do wedding things. I also tried to have everything done several months in advance, so that the months leading up to the wedding was more for “fun” planning like picking music and setting timelines with the wedding planner from Revival House (Alysha Ford).” – L

Fav wedding memory: Seaver: “Seeing Lidia for the first time. She looked so pretty. I didn’t know what to expect because I had no idea what her dress was going to be like. Also dancing to our song (Paradise By the Dashboard Lights) surrounded by our friends! It was a song from one of our first dates.”

Lidia: “The moment the music started, walking down the aisle with my Dad and seeing Seaver at the end of the aisle surrounded by the people that we love.”

Advice from one bride to another: “I have two pieces of advice: Get everything done as early as you can. It will seem crazy (and a little annoying) at the time but the more planning you do before, the more relaxed you’ll be on the day of the wedding. I got this advice from a friend of mine who said that this was the single most important wedding advice he could give: take some time during the night to step aside with your partner and enjoy a few minutes together. Hug and kiss and look out at all of the people who love you and are there to celebrate you and your love. We took the advice! It’s such a crazy day and it was really nice to spend that moment taking it all in. Just the two of us. At Revival House there is a balcony that overlooks the bar and dining room. It’s the perfect place for that!” – L
