Beaverdale Golf Club was the perfect setting for Susan and Carey’s intimate rustic wedding, with it’s exposed wood beams and one stop shop packages. With a few hiccups and some help from the social media community they were able to have he wedding that had been wishing for…

Bride & Groom: Susan & Carey

Wedding date: July 28, 2018

Ceremony & reception location: Beaverdale Golf Club (golfnorth.ca/beaverdale) “We loved having our wedding at Beaverdale Golf Club. Both our ceremony and reception were held there. I loved the fact that everything could be held in one place and I could still have the outdoorsy feel with their covered patio! The whole process of working with Chelsea, Barb and all the other staff was so stress free and they made it so easy for us from the beginning from the menu and the tasting to the set up of decor!”  – S

Décor: “I did all of the decor myself! No decorators or rental companies were used. I planned every last detail! I purchased all decor from the chair covers to the centerpieces.” – S

“Everything was going to plan, we had all our lists checked off. Fast forward to 3 days before our wedding, and I received a message stating we no longer had a DJ, photo booth or a limo for our wedding. Complete panic sets in… The company we booked all services with, closed up shop. Luckily with the power of social media we found amazing people who jumped at the chance to help us!” – S&C

Colour palette: Plum, white and gold

Guest count: 80 people…the perfect size!

Theme: “Rustic chic. We loved the exposed beams that were visible in the main hall.” – S

Fav decor element: “I had so many favorite parts it’s hard to pick just one! We loved how personal our wedding officiant was with incorporating both of our children into the ceremony by doing a Celtic hand tying ceremony. It was a special moment that I will never forget. We loved our DJ and they had the dance floor full all night! Everyone had a blast!” – S&C

Flowers: Sola Flowers (solaflowers.ca) “My amazing flowers were designed by Sola Flowers located in Hamilton and I absolutely adored them.” – S

Bride’s attire: “I found designer Meghan Bambach located in St Clements. She was the most amazing person to work with. She made my dress absolutely perfect!! I had a 2nd dress I purchased for the reception from David’s Bridal (davidsbridal.ca)” – S

Cake: Tiny Cakes (tinycakes.ca) “We decided on cupcakes with a small layered cake for cutting. The owners Jenn and Arthur are amazing and so talented.” – S&C
