Ceremony & Reception Location: Cambridge Mill (cambridgemill.ca)
“It was the first venue we went to together and instantly fell in love with it. The romantic feel and views were everything we hoped for. We never looked at another venue! ” – C&O

Colour Palette: Lilac & Grey

Theme: “I guess our theme was cozy rustic boho. I used wood pieces & metal to help bring out the beauty in the venue to tie it all together” – C

Flowers: “I chose From the Potting Shed (fromthepottingshed.com) to do my flowers because once I saw their work, I knew it fit the style I was looking for perfectly. Elaine’s specialty is beautiful garlands, with lots of fresh flowers. It tied in the Bohemian look I was going for. Another fun element of working with Elaine and her team, is a floral party given 6 weeks before the wedding. We got to enjoy some wine and cheese while discussing the florals for the wedding. My bouquet was created with beautiful roses and tulips with stunning greenery.” – C

Décor: “I didn’t hire anyone for décor. That’s the amazing part of Cambridge Mill; it doesn’t need much to make your vision come alive.” – C

Fav décor element: “My favourite décor element was definitely my centrepieces. I used wood slabs with beautiful bouquets and candles. It just looked so romantic against the stone walls” – C

DIY: “My biggest DIY project was the gifts to my guests, which were succulents. And Othmane made our card box.” – C

Invitations/stationery: “Were designed by my sister in law Amanda Nicholl – she designed my vision perfectly” – C

Cake: Design Me a Cupcake (designmeacupcake.com) “I had a naked cake and cupcakes. I have never tasted anything so good! It was so fresh, light and the buttercream was delicious.” – C

Wedding favours: DIY succulents

Groomsmen and Groom’s attire: Othmanes suit was custom made & the men’s suits were from 4 Men United (4menunited.com)

Bridesmaids attire: Bridesmaids wore Bill Levkoff

Bride’s dress : “My Dress was Pronovias” – C

DJ: 586 Event Group (586eventgroup.com)

Hair & make-up: “Make up done by Cheryl Gaweda, a colleague and incredible makeup artist. My hair was done by my friend and hair stylist Bojana Vezmar. The girls hair was done by Amy at The Bridal Hair Collective (bridalhaircollective.com)” – C

Photographer: Anne Edgar Photography & Films (anneedgarphoto.com) “I found Anne Edgar on my vendor sheet from Cambridge Mill – I chose her and her team because I loved their work. Her portfolio was just so beautiful and exactly how I had envisioned my pictures. Of course seeing the photos now –  they are more amazing then I could have imagined. Anne is so much fun to work with. She gives guidance, she yells out crazy things to make you loosen up and enjoy the moment. She has so much talent and passion and it really shows in her work. The rest of her team we met on our wedding day and adored them! They were just as much fun to work with all day! Joel was awesome and spent the evening with us capturing all the late night festivities. I’d have to say my favourite part of the pictures is that they are so amazing! She truly captured beautiful portraits and genuine candid’s. Her style fits the romantic feel I wanted.” – C

Biggest Challenge: “I’d have to say we were very lucky that we didn’t come across many challenges. Working with the vendors we had & Cambridge Mill we didn’t have much to worry about. Our choice of venue allowed us to keep the rest simple. It was absolutely beautiful with very little additions needed. If I had to chose an obstacle it was the DIY – I had my heart set on the containers for my succulents so I had to go to multiple locations to find all of them! We were blessed to have not hit many obstacles.” – C&O

Fav wedding memory: “My favourite memory is the look on my husbands face the moment he saw me. I have never seen him cry, so to see him overcome with emotion and see his eyes well up was everything!  Throughout the ceremony we kind of forgot about the people and it became just us. Becoming husband and wife, I will never forget standing up there with him, hands joined just looking at each other. I have never felt so much love and joy.” -C

Advice from one couple to another: “It gets stressful but never forget why you are planning this special day. Remember the love and happiness you want in your day. Try and take a step back if planning gets overwhelming. Regain your perspective; it’s all about love!” – C
