Caitlin and Bradley’s fall wedding at Craigowan Golf Club in October was a stunning fall celebration. Filled with rich colours, romantic details, and 120 of their closest loved ones. Set against the venue’s tiered ceremony space and the ruins of a stone barn, their day was the perfect blend of natural beauty and personal style. With a palette of rust, pink, and burgundy, artistic photography by Michael Steingard, and elegant fall touches throughout, their wedding was a true reflection of their love story.
COUPLE: Caitlin & Bradley
DATE: October 13, 2023
GUEST #: 120
CEREMONY & RECEPTION LOCATION: Craigowan Golf Club “We loved our fall wedding at Craigowan! We had looked at a few locations, and one day on our way to see family, we drove past Craigowan. A friend of ours had golfed there, and thought we would take a look. We reached out to Craigowan and made an appointment to discuss the wedding packages and see what the venue looked like in person.
We went for a tour, and fell in love with the ceremony space. It had a tiered seating area for our guests, and a beautiful ceremony backdrop, with lots of greenery and the ruins of an old stone barn. The trees were the star of the show, especially for the fall! While working with Craigowan, the staff were very knowledgeable and friendly, offering helpful solutions and guiding us to make our wedding dreams come true! The food was delicious, and and the drinks were too!” – C&B
PHOTOGRAPHER: Micheal Steingard Photography “We found Michael online. He was local to Stratford, and we were very drawn to the unique artistic flair of his photos. Micheal was very good at giving direction for more flattering angles, and for creating stunning, artistic, and moody photos – just what we were looking for! He was very easy to work with. Michael did our engagement and wedding photos, and we love them all! He was the perfect choice for our fall wedding at Craigowan” – C&B
COLOUR PALETTE: “We wanted an elegant fall wedding at Craigowan for the wedding. We had a fall gradient of colours – pinks, rust & burgundy for the bridesmaid/man dresses/suit and the men wore black suits and silver ties. The fall theme was achieved in the natural setting of the golf course in October. Our silk florals included burgundy and cream flowers, with greenery. Our invitations and save-the-dates included fall leaves, burgundy envelopes and the tree of life.” – C&B

TELL US YOUR STORY: “Brad and I initially met online, and met for the first time on October 13, 2017. We decided to meet up to play some pool. We played some pool and went for a walk down by the river and around downtown Stratford. Swapping stories, talking about dreams and sharing many laughs, Brad offered to take me home at the end of the night. I was so distracted talking to him, I forgot he didn’t know my address!
We continued to talk and started to plan a second date in the days after. Admittedly, we still do not know what happened, whether it was Bell or Rogers, but we both did not receive a response from one another. After a few weeks, I reached out to Brad, as I couldn’t stop thinking about him. He responded, and we finally got our second date. We went bowling, and coincidentally, met up with some friends out on a double date. We joined with the other couples, went to Boar’s Head, and had a really nice night.
A couple of months later, there was a snowstorm and we got stuck in a ditch. Our friends came to rescue us, and when we went back to Brad’s house, we exchanged our first “I love you’s”. After countless memories over the next four years, we bought our first home and moved in together as a family with our daughter. We got our first dog not long afterwards, and our second dog a year and a half later.
On April 9, 2022, we got engaged. Brad had gone to pick up the ring that day, and although I didn’t know why, when he came home and I hugged him, his heart was pounding. Little did I know, he was planning to propose after dinner that night. A few minutes after I hugged him, I had gone into another room and Brad called me back into the kitchen. Here I found him down on one knee, with our dog sitting beside him. He later told me he didn’t think he could keep it a secret much longer, so he decided not to wait.” – C

Brad: “Seeing Caitlin walk down the aisle and knowing this was finally happening.” – B
ADVICE FROM ONE COUPLE TO ANOTHER: “We would say the best advice is to stay calm on the day of your wedding and enjoy every moment. There is bound to be an issue that comes up, but no matter what, it is important to remember that at the end of the day, you get to marry your person. With all of the stress during the planning, enjoy every moment you can on your special day!” – C&B
