COUPLE: Erikka & Jeff
DATE: May 17, 2025
GUEST #: 127
CEREMONY & RECEPTION LOCATION: Flamborough Hills Golf Club "Flamborough Hills Golf Club, came highly recommended by a friend of Erikka's who had attended a relative's wedding there, and from the moment we said "yes" to having our wedding there, the experience was absolutely amazing. The entire journey, right up to our special day, was incredibly smooth! Their communication and attention to detail was top-notch, making both Erikka and me feel so important and completely at ease throughout everything." - J
PHOTOGRAPHER: Hearttoheart Photography "We found our photographer, Stefanie from Heart to Heart, at a bridal show right here in Brantford. From the moment I met her, I knew she was the one I wanted to tell our love story. Her passion for the industry and her work is absolutely amazing! It's so hard to pick a favorite photo because they are all absolutely gorgeous. They were the perfect choice for our romantic spring wedding." - E
COLOUR PALETTE: "Our wedding vision was a beautiful blend of *whimsical charm with a hint of rustic elegance. We chose a soft pastel color palette to bring in the spring colors, and Jeff completed the picture, by being my something blue in his midnight blue tux." - E
TELL US YOUR STORY!: "In the heart of Port Credit, amidst the lively hum of a local bar, my eyes met Erikka's, sparking a connection that felt destined. At first Erikka had no interest in meeting anyone that night and even refused to buy her a drink! While Erikka was on her phone, I managed to look over and saw she had a dog and that I knew with a simple gesture of sharing Bandit, my golden retriever's photo, I knew that not only got Erikka's number but in hopes also her heart.
Our first date at a Sushi Bar was just the beginning of an inseparable journey. Together, we explored life's melodies, Erikka shared that she has never been to a concert before so I bought Kane Brown tickets and took her to her first concert. We went to watch the Blue Jays, karaoke nights to dance floors and going on our first vacation to Cuba our love story unfolded. Shortly after spending everyday together during Covid, it made us realize that we never want to leave each other sides. We were, and are, each others best friends. Singing and Dancing partners!
Our shared adventures led us to Brantford, where we not only bought a house but started to build a life together, proving we were each other's perfect balance and best friends, we have navigated the ups and downs of life, always knowing our bond was unbreakable.
In November 2023, I had invited Erika's parents, my brother and sister in-law to witness my proposal under the enchanting lights of a Mississauga festival, amidst an ancient Japanese display. I knew that my proposal turned our magical moment into a lifetime promise. Despite the disbelief in love at first sight, I always knew I wanted Erikka to be my wife. Our story is a testament to the power of love, proving it not only exists but thrives in the hearts of those meant to be." - J

BIGGEST CHALLENGE: "Our biggest challenge throughout the whole wedding planning was definitely the weather. I've always dreamed of an outdoor ceremony, and we knew that having it during the spring season meant taking a risk with rain. A week before the wedding, the forecast showed rain, and I definitely panicked, buying a lot of umbrellas! Nonetheless, I remained optimistic, and the day turned out to be chilly and cloudy with no rain at all. The cloudy skies actually made for beautiful photos." - E
BEST MEMORY: "It's definitely our first look! Initially, Jeff and I were hesitant to do it, worrying it might diminish the moment of my walk down the aisle. But it turned out to be the absolute best feeling." - E
ADVICE FROM ONE COUPLE TO ANOTHER:
"Our best advice for wedding planning is to definitely do things in phases. Don't overwhelm yourselves, and continue to communicate and share opinions with each other. The best thing I purchased was a wedding planner book, which I highly recommend if you decide to plan it yourselves; it definitely kept me on track and organized!
Jeff and I made sure to set a deadline for all the major tasks. This meant that two weeks before the wedding, we were able to soak everything in and truly relax before the big day. Of course, there will be last-minute changes, but definitely assign tasks to your bridesmaids and maid of honor—it will really help!" - E
