After years of growing up together, and growing in love, Rachel and Nicholas finally made it official with a heartfelt Quiet Earth wedding. Surrounded by 120 of their closest friends and family, they celebrated at the serene and rustic venue they found. With a romantic palette of navy, blush, terracotta, and burgundy, every detail reflected their journey. From a school bus ride in seventh grade to building a life together in Kingston. Rachel and Nic’s day was a beautiful celebration of resilience, deep love, and the people who’ve supported them every step of the way.

TELL US YOUR STORY: “I first met Nic on a school bus ride. We know, pretty crazy! It was the first day of seventh grade and Nic had just moved to good ol’ Putnam Ontario and happened to be on the same bus ride as me into Saint David’ s Elementary. I was a seasoned veteran when it came to riding the “country bus” into school and when I noticed a new kid on the block, I made it my mission to get to know him. We first bonded over our love for “fizz candies” and were friends ever since.
Once in high school together, we had developed a pretty friendly relationship and those around us were living in a classic “will they won’t they” scenario. At the end of Freshman year, we were officially going steady. Unfortunately not everything moved so smoothly. Over the next few months, Nic was diagnosed and treated for Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and my family was going through some major changes. Despite the struggles, our love prevailed and together came out the other side of our challenges.
Going through College together we moved into our first ever apartment in Ottawa where we fully bloomed into our careers and lives with one another.
Through the good and the bad, the ups and the downs, ever growing and changing together, Nic and I have created a life together in our new home in Kingston, where we have made even more memories with one another. Our affinity for travel, food and our animals makes us passionate about life and one another.” – R

ADVICE FROM ONE COUPLE TO ANOTHER: “Do it together. Have goals for one another and each of you should agree on a vision. Nic and I did a 5 min exercise before starting any planning and agreed on a “motto” which was “great food and music with all our loved ones celebrating us” and we stuck to it. Find your motto.” – R
