“This creative boho destination wedding shoot was a labor of love that I styled and produced entirely on my own. Inspired by a bohemian, free-spirited vibe. The models, Courtney Zoeller and Reman Kaskas, were selected from Vogue Model Management in Hamilton, Ontario. We shot at the beautiful 50 Point Conservation Area in Winona. This location was chosen for its serene, destination-like feel, perfect for telling the story of a simple yet intimate elopement.
For the bride’s look, I wanted to keep it natural and effortless. The dress, originally a beach coverup from Shein, was altered on-site to perfectly fit her. I sewed the dress to her that day, ensuring it matched the vision I had in mind. The bride completed her outfit with boots found at Goodwill and a hat gifted by a friend. Adding personal touches that made her look even more unique and meaningful.
The groom’s attire was also from Shein, chosen to complement the overall aesthetic and match the relaxed, intimate vibe I envisioned. I wanted their clothing to feel approachable, allowing the couple’s connection to be the focal point of the shoot.

One of the aspects I truly enjoyed about this shoot was working with alternative couples. I love photographing individuals who embrace their unique style, and Courtney’s dreadlocks and Reman’s tattoos added so much character to the photos. Their distinctive looks made the imagery even more captivating, highlighting their individuality and the authenticity of their connection.
The concept behind this creative shoot was to capture the essence of an elopement—just the two of them, celebrating their love in a quiet, meaningful way. To tie the look together, I crafted a bouquet with flowers from Michaels, carefully selecting each bloom to enhance the natural, whimsical feel of the shoot.
This project was about blending creativity, resourcefulness, and a strong connection with the couple. It was a beautiful reminder of the power of simplicity and the magic that can be created when two people come together to celebrate their love in an intimate, personal way.” – Danielle, Free Spirit Wedding
