We honestly hear this from at least 75% of our brides, or a variation of this. "I don't look good in photos" or "I hate having my photo taken" and we get it. I feel the same way! Or at least I used to. We find that when you feel stiff and uncomfortable, you end up looking stiff and uncomfortable. The key to taking beautiful photos (and feeling good doing it) is working with someone who makes you feel good. We work really hard to make you feel comfortable in front of our cameras. Instead of stiff poses, we prompt and direct you to have real movement, real emotion, and real moments with your loved ones. That results in real smiles, real laughs, and real beautiful photos. Do I need to rewatch Parks and Rec at least once a year? No. But it makes my life way better. Same with a second shooter. It's not a necessity, but man does it take your photos to the next level! We provide a second shooter with some of our wedding packages and it's always available as an add on so we can not only focus on the big moments but also the heaps of little moments in between. Tay or I can't be in two places at once, so a second shooter helps me make sure we get well-rounded coverage of your amazing day.

Your engagement session is a laid back and no pressure session to get to know you before your wedding or just capture your amazing love story aside from your wedding! This is a time to celebrate your love and your upcoming wedding, and I promise you will love your session and the resulting photos. Trust me, I get how uncomfortable it can be to get your photo taken, but we will have a ton of fun! If you don't feel at home in front of a camera, don't worry! Most people don't, but the engagement session gives you a chance to put those negative feelings aside and see how comfortable we make you feel so that you don't give it a second thought on your wedding day. It will feel like a date night with your love (except with me always a few feet away... but trust me it won't be awkward!). The goal of every session is for you to feel like a million bucks while having a great time with the person you love the most.
