Tall Centrepieces:
Pro: They have amazing impact. Nothing can beat the impact of a high centrepiece.
Con: Concern that if a centrepiece is too high, then it is directly in your guests line of vision.
Tips:
- The fullness of the centerpiece should be lower than 10″ or higher than 20″ to ensure that the centrepiece is not in the line of vision
- Whatever you spend on a centrepiece you want it to be one of the key elements of the room
- Rather then small candles at the foot of the centrepiece, think about floral or greenery based wreaths. They can be used to expand the size around the base
- Keep in mind centrepiece heights when working with venues that have lowered ceilings
Short Centrepieces:
Pro: A floral posy in a short centrepiece can be a whimsical touch but don’t be afraid to add some curly willow or corkscrew hazel to add some height and impact.
Con: Short centrepieces are often lost in the wine glasses place settings.
