All you need is love... and

Isabelle and Cheyenne were looking for the perfect place to have their cream and sage wedding. They discovered Waterloo Regional Police Association and knew it was the perfect fit for their dream outdoor wedding.

COUPLE: Isabelle & Cheyenne

WEDDING DATE: September 9, 2023

GUEST #: 246

TELL US YOUR STORY!: “We met in 2018 when we were hired for a contract posting together in Waterloo, Ontario. We instantly became friends and had a few coffee and lunch dates. Quickly we realized that we were falling in love. I invited Cheyenne to my sister’s wedding within 2 months of meeting her, and she is photographed in all the family photos. It seems that I just knew she was in my life now and forever and thank goodness my extended family saw how special she was too!” – I

“Isabelle and I have thrived through a period of long-distance, the Pandemic and other obstacles that have tested our love and devotion to one another. Above all, I knew Isabelle was going to be my wife, we were just waiting for the timing to be right. I proposed to Cheyenne in 2021 after we bought our first home and moved in together. It was a very private and special moment between us on our 4-year anniversary. We quickly began planning for a very big wedding the following year and adopted a little kitten to complete our fierce, valid, and beautiful family of three!” – C

CEREMONY & RECEPTION LOCATION: Waterloo Regional Police Association “We were seeking a venue that could accommodate an outdoor ceremony and have an indoor reception at the same location. We liked the close proximity of WRPA and the layout of the hall itself. We were able to envision the cream and sage wedding décor in the space as it really is a moldable blank canvas to add your own style! Melissa was very accommodating and patient with us through all of our changes and communications. We were grateful for her diligence and quick responses to emails!

PHOTOGRAPHER: Stephanie MacDonald Photography “Stephanie is a family friend who photographed important moments in Isabelle’s life and her family’s lives. She typically does not do large weddings but came out to celebrate our special day with us and her second photographer Kerry. Stephanie was able to capture our silliness and love so beautifully by making us feel comfortable and utilizing her creative eye!

Our favourite part of our photos is the inclusion of the classic car, a special touch from Cheyenne’s mother.” – I&C

COLOUR PALETTE: “We wanted a cream and sage wedding with pops of Champagne Rose” – I&C

CAKE: The Cake Box

DECOR: Decorating Dreams

BRIDAL DRESSES & ACCESSORIES: Sophies Gown Shoppe & Bisou Bridal London

DJ: The DJ Co.

HAIR & MAKEUP: Alyssa Doucet Artistry

BIGGEST CHALLENGE: “The guest list was challenging! There are so many important people to include and be part of the wedding day, but it can be overwhelming to say no or have a limit.” – I&C

BEST MEMORY:

“We took alone time prior to the ceremony to exchange private vows together. In this moment we felt reconnected and reminded of why we were getting married, and it felt that the stress of the past year of planning washed away. We shared laughs, cried and shook off the nerves together and walked down the aisle together, entering into our marriage and rest of our lives!”-I&C

ADVICE FROM ONE COUPLE TO ANOTHER:

“Don’t sweat the small stuff while planning. Something will go wrong, someone will not show up, and someone might spill a drink on your dress.” – I&C
