The Open Spaces, Stunning Windows and Incredible History Will Set A Memorable Victorian Mood For Your Big Day at Enoch Turner Schoolhouse
The term schoolhouse is no longer commonly used, evoking a historic and nostalgic feel. In fact, when you recall schoolhouses you are taken back to the days of Little House on the Prairie, where Laura Ingalls struggled with her vocabulary lessons while trying to avoid mischief within the walls of the one-room structure where her older sister taught. Every element of that historic charm is maintained within the Enoch Turner Schoolhouse. Built in 1848, the schoolhouse looks untouched although skilfully preserved. It is the oldest school in the city and was the first free school in Toronto. The West Hall, added in 1869, possesses all the original charm......

Chris Berry and Natalie Johnston have always loved the idea of a destination wedding. As Sarnia natives, they often spent weekends in the Muskokas and knew it would be the perfect backdrop for their big day. Their wedding would have the feel of a destination wedding yet was still close enough to home for all of their loved ones to attend.

Irina Fortey of Irina Photography, who specializes in fresh, creative and candid wedding photography for Toronto and Southwestern Ontario couples, shot this stunning Edwardian themed design palette. With a focus on a feel of royalty, Janis of Brocade Events wanted to create a wedding theme that captured that royal feel, but would move away from the structured feel of the Victorian era. "The Edwardian Era has all the formal elegance with a bit more fun and freedom in the look and feel. trendsphotoboothmouchessmTrends & Ideas: Dressing up never gets old

by Erica Hancox of Project Ever After (www.projecteverafter.com) (Ever After Review)

Photo booths have become a popular trend for weddings. They are entertaining for the young and old, allowing everyone to let loose, have some fun and strike a pose! But a photo booth at your wedding just wouldn’t be the same without props! I was browsing Brooke Meyenberg, creator of the Little Retreats Etsy Shop website (http://www.etsy.com/people/LittleRetreats) the other day, who by the way is the crème de la crème when it comes to incorporating creative props into your photo booth. She has everything from distinguished mustaches, to whimsical masks, to Charlie Chaplin glasses...

designpalette3bsmDesign Palette: Red & Turquoise

The Creative Bride created a stunning display filled with whimsical elements for this bold palette. The calming blue reminds us of the tranquil waters of the Caribbean while the bright reds create a fiery contrast. Using a neutral white ties this look together. With fun elements like a red, turquoise and white candy bar and the beautiful backdrop for the head table, this is the perfect palette for the daring “out of the box” bride. This cake by The Golden Girlz called “The Duchess” creates a striking palette with...
