A Whimsical Outdoor Wedding Day at Miller Lash House

Aimee Michelle Gilbert & Nicholas James Kenney | July 11, 2015 | Aimee had dreamed about a white tent wedding since she was a little girl. When she and Nicholas saw the Miller Lash House () (millerlashhouse.ca), they knew it would be their venue. Aimee explains,

Miller Lash House is an old estate home and property located in the east end of the city. I grew up in the country, north of Toronto and Nick grew up in the city. The venue had a country feel but was located in the city so it was the perfect match for both of us!”

The theme was casual and whimsical, an elegant garden wedding. “We wanted it feel like it was taking place in our backyard. [This] came across with our flowers, the rose petal aisle, the rustic wood arch which was lined with flowers. The reception tent is a really naturally beautiful space when the sides are open to the surrounding gardens.”

Aimee remembers, “Working with Erika was awesome from beginning to end. She is professional, trustworthy and able to wrangle a large group of people together for family photos without breaking a sweat! My favourite part of my photos are how Erika was able to capture both posed and candid shots of everyone we love!…I love how our photos feel like a story of our day.”
