Request more pricing, details and info from this vendor! Most people are familiar with the Toronto Marriott City Centre Hotel. It is the world’s only four diamond hotel located in a major league sports and entertainment venue, the Rogers Centre. However, what few people know is that it is also home to a charming private outdoor parkette, the perfect venue for small wedding ceremonies and cocktail receptions. The park also contains original tracks of the Toronto railway which people often use as their aisle runway. With so much charm and history, it is only a matter of time before brides seek out this outdoor venue in search of something a little different and a lot more affordable.

So you booked the Toronto Marriott, now what?

Once you have reserved the Toronto Marriott you will be assigned a certified wedding planner. This is a trained professional skilled in the world of weddings who will guide you through figuring out a budget, choosing vendors, and deciding on a color or décor theme. These planners are also educated in the realm of ethnic and military weddings and hence bring a broad scope of expertise and knowledge to the table. The hotel also has an on-site caterer and which also handles the bar as well.

Advantages of the under the radar Parkette

According to the Sales Manager at the Toronto Marriott most people booking a wedding at the hotel opt for one of the banquet rooms and aren’t really aware of the outdoor space. If you are looking to have an outdoor wedding on a peak summer weekend, you might be able to reserve the park (although it is still advised to book at least a year in advance). The hotel in general is not very well known as a “wedding hotel” and only hosts about 10 weddings per year.  Also, the attached hotel makes it really convenient for out of town guests and according to the website, you can book 10 to 25 rooms at a time. Not to mention the fact that the hotel is located in the heart of the entertainment district which makes for some great sightseeing. And with the CN Tower in the background the photo opportunities at the charming park are endless!

Who gets married at the little park?

Unique brides looking for something original seek out the space. He also says that because of its location the majority of the brides are from the downtown area. Couples looking to host a smaller wedding with a maximum of about 80 people (120 if theatre style) should add the parkette to their list of venue choices.
