{reality wedding story} Springtime in Stratford

BRIDE & GROOM: Taylor & Aaron Keunen

WEDDING DATE: May 13th, 2017

CEREMONY LOCATION: The Drayton Reformed Church, Drayton ON

RECEPTION LOCATION: Stratford Country Club (♥) (stratfordcountryclub.ca), Stratford, ON “I found the Stratford Country Club on The Wedding Ring website and thought it was absolutely stunning. The natural light, exposed wooden beams & modern features instantly captivated me & I could already picture hanging greenery from the statement chandeliers! We have always loved Stratford, especially the river, so we could envision having our wedding photos taken there as well.” – A & T

THEME: “I wanted to keep the overall theme simple, whimsical & romantic with modern accents. We got married in May – a time of year that feels fresh & full of life! I love all things white & gold, as well as eucalyptus, so those were a must! I also was very excited about bridesmaid dresses and wanted to make them an accent. My bridesmaids wore all different full-length dresses that range from soft blush, rose gold and gold, ranging from full sequins and unique beading, to simple and flowy!” – T

My favourite part of the photos was the softness & play on the natural light. Megan captured the photos in such a dreamy light & in a way that we can remember exactly how we were feeling the moment the photo was taken.” – T

FAVOURS: “In lieu of traditional wedding favours, we donated to the Canadian Lung Association (lung.ca). This was close to our hearts as we have lost several of our family members to cancer as well as Aaron’s Opa several months before our wedding, it was a way for us to honour them.”-A&T

BIGGEST CHALLENGE: “The biggest challenge for me was finding time! There are so many great ideas and pinterestworthy projects that I would have loved to do, but finding the time to do it all while balancing work and all of life’s events was a bit of a challenge. Prioritizing was key, along with remembering to step back & take in the exciting period of being engaged to my best friend” – T
