Allure Photography

Courtney Thack and Dean Thorpe’s theme for their wedding theme was ‘Glitter and ‘Glass’. Courtney explains, “It was a play on Great Gatsby without being so specific. The inspiration came because I wanted to have an elegant affair, something like a glamorous cocktail party where people could feel regal.” The couple tied the knot in Hamilton on January 21st…

# GUESTS: 120

IN LIEU OF CAKE: Several tiers of cheese wheels from The UDDER WAY Artisan Cheese Company (bit.ly/TheUDDERWAYArtisanCheeseCompany) in Stoney Creek

BIGGEST CHALLENGE:
“Determining the order of events for our day. Since we didn’t have a sit down dinner we wanted to get all of the formal  events out of the way to take the pressure off and we could enjoy our evening. We didn’t want to lose people’s attention and struggle to get it back to execute different elements.” – C

FAVOURITE MOMENT:
“I tried really hard to be in the moment all day long and I don’t feel like my wedding day rushed by knowing that I squeezed every bit of joy out of it makes me really happy.” – C

GROOM+ GROOMSMEN’S FASHION: Freeman’s Formal wear (freemanformal.com)

BRIDE’S FASHION: “I tried on a lot of dresses at stores …I had nearly given up when I found the perfect option on Kijiji. I was unworn and fit nearly all of my criteria…I bought the dress for half the retail price and had it altered to fit me perfectly and lowered the back. It was absolutely perfect.” – C

“Shannon [of Allure Photography] was so easy to work with…She let Dean and I be us…Both the engagement and the wedding shots came back looking very natural and showed our personalities.” – Courtney
