{Reality Wedding Story} Classy & Regal at Concordia Club | Cody & Andrea

Andrea and Cody wanted a classic church wedding with a bit family tradition. Since Cody’s parents were also married at Concordia Club, it seemed fitting that they would follow in their footsteps.

BRIDESMAID ATTIRE & ACCESSORIES: David’s Bridal (www.davidsbridal.ca)

HAIR & MAKE-UP: Love You Salon & Spa (www.loveyousalonspa.com)

COLOUR PALETTE: Purple, Navy and Silver

THEME: “No particular theme was necessarily selected. We made the colour selection and went from there! I guess you could say we aimed for a classy or regal look.”

FAV DECOR ELEMENT: “I liked the backdrop we had behind the head table. Combined with the spotlights, it provided a beautiful view walking into the venue.”

DIY: “We did a couple DIY projects. I designed the ceremony programs and one of my bridesmaids helped me put them together. We made them in the shape of a fan because the church had no AC. Instead of a guestbook, we spray painted some birch branches silver, and placed them into a vase. My bridesmaids helped put together some tags for people to sign and hang with well-wishes.”

BIGGEST CHALLENGE: “The hardest part was the week leading up to the big day. There was a bunch of last minute tasks to complete and out of town guests to entertain. This was also the only week that all of the bridesmaids were in the same geographical location. There were the DIYs projects to finish and the flowers to arrange. All the while making time for fun outings with the wedding party.”

ADVICE FROM ONE BRIDE TO ANOTHER: Start early and make lists. Keep your priorities in mind. Wedding costs can add up fast so commit to what is important to you and be willing to compromise on the smaller details
