Janice and Royston wanted a gorgeous wedding day that they and their guests would remember forever. From chivari chairs and chandeliers to exquisite décor and fine details, this bride & groom most certainly succeeded in planning their ultimate wedding.

Bride & Groom: Janice Karen Rodriques, Social Worker & Royston Fran D’Souza, Engineer
Wedding Date: August 29th, 2014 at 1pm
Ceremony Location: St. Marguerite D’Youville Parish in Brampton, ON
Reception Location: Paradise Banquet Hall & Convention Centre in Vaughan, ON , chosen for the incredible décor throughout the hall.
Number of Guests: 270
The Proposal: Royston proposed to Janice on October 2nd, 2013 while on vacation (travelling is their favourite activity). Janice remembers, “He made me run up a hill, on the grounds of the Schonbrunn Palace to a cafe overlooking all of Vienna. He brought me coffee and ice cream to sweeten me up and then told me a story of a boy and a girl on the cafe terrace. Next thing I knew, he was down on one knee and asking me to marry him. My first words were; “It’s so big!!!” Followed by “Yes!”
Easiest Planning Element: Finding the brides dress at Best for Bride (review)
Most Challenging Planning Element: Praying the invitations would look beautiful even though they didn’t get to see them before they were shipped.
DIY: The wedding DJ was the father of the bride. Janice explains, “He played alot of old school music and cultural music – I think the guests enjoyed this the most.”
Favours: Bride and groom themed Cake Pops, baked by Renee at Looks Sweet
Spent the Most on: The videographer (searching for the photographer and videographer were among the couple’s favourite parts of planning their wedding).
Spent the Least on: The wedding cake, which was baked and beautifully decorated by the bride’s mother.
The Wedding Vision: That friends & family would have a great time at their wedding!
Wedding Day Dilemma: The day was nearly seamless with the exception of their late arrival to the reception venue which resulted in scratching a garden photo shoot off the timeline. “Thanks to Deb and Kevin’s (our photographers) quick thinking, we took pictures inside the hall and in the parking lot. But our parking lot pictures don’t look like a parking lot… the pictures are amazing.” ~ Janice
From the Bride: “I would like to thank my make-up and hairstylist. You made my dream into a reality with amazing hair and make-up. I would also like to thank all those who helped in every which way and all those who came from near and far and making this day special for both Royston and I.” ~Janice
