BRIDE & GROOM: Kelly Rombough + Patrick Wright

WEDDING DATE: June 18, 2016

CEREMONY & RECEPTION LOCATION: Liuna Station in Hamilton, Ontario (www.liunastation.com) Ceremony took place upstairs followed by the reception downstairs in the King George Room.

PHOTOGRAPHY: “We used Have Heart Photography (www.haveheartphotography.ca) and I really liked how personable they were. They were very easy to get along with.”

INVITATIONS/STATIONARY: A designer in Sydney, Australia did the Save the Dates and the wedding Invitations.

WEDDING FAVOURS: In lieu of wedding favours, a donation was made to Kid Sport (www.kidsportcanada.ca) – an organization that is very near and dear to their hearts.

GROOM & GROOMSMEN ATTIRE: Classic Black Tuxedos from Moore’s Clothing for Men (www.mooresclothing.com)

BRIDE’S ATTIRE: “My dress was an Allure dress (www.allurebridals.com) that I absolutely loved! I had gone with my bridesmaids and my mom a couple of times to look at dresses while I was home visiting in Canada. I ended up finding the perfect dress online! I went and tried it one and bought it on my own.”

BRIDESMAID ATTIRE: The bridesmaids wore shoes and dresses from Le Chateau (www.lechateau.com). “I also bought the girls’ dressing gowns from Victoria’s Secret (www.victoriassecret.com) to wear in the morning while we were getting ready.”

HAIR & MAKEUP: Hair was done by Ashley and Robin from Hairport & Layover Luxuries (www.facebook.com/Hairport-Layover-Luxuries). Make-up was done by a freelance makeup artist out of Simcoe, Ontario.

COLOUR PALETTE: White, Gold and Navy

FAV DECOR ELEMENT: “I think my favourite décor element was the table centrepieces. They were simple but added a sophisticated element that fit the venue and entire day.”

DIY: “My mom is quite crafty and she helped us with a couple things. She took care of the seating chart and our signs around the venue. Patrick and I also compiled some of the stationary elements, including the menus.”

“I planned our wedding from Australia! If I had to do it again, I would have hired people to do more. We tried to do all of the little things and that took time away from enjoying the process.” – Kelly

ADVICE FROM ONE BRIDE TO ANOTHER: “Don’t stress too much about the small things. On the day you won’t notice anyway! Also, really absorb the moment, because the day will go by so quickly.”

“The best moment was definitely being together with our friends and family. Because we live in Australia and a lot of our friends and family are in Canada, a large part of our day was not just about us but with being with the people we love.” – Kelly & Patrick
