{Real Wedding Story} Love is in the air at Fanshawe Pioneer Village

BRIDE & GROOM: Tiffanie & Lee Reynaert

WEDDING DATE: September 8th, 2018

LOCATION: Fanshawe Pioneer Village (♥) (fanshawepioneervillage.ca) London, ON “We wanted both our ceremony and reception at the same place. Fanshawe Pioneer Village not only fit our needs but had several options for indoor or outdoor ceremonies and receptions. Our guests were able to roam the Village and enjoy the historic beautiful grounds in between our ceremony and reception. There were so many opportunities for beautiful photo backdrops.” – T&L

PHOTOGRAPHY: Roman Hidalgo Photography (romanhidalgo.com) London, ON “Roman was very laid back and allowed us to show our personalities throughout the entire day. He was very accommodating and was able to think on the spot to capture all of the moments we wanted documented.” – T

THEME: “Our overall colour scheme was wine, navy blue, with black and gold accents. We both love the outdoors and used greenery with succulents to bring our vision together. We wanted a warm romantic feel to the room and we achieved this through twinkle lights, lanterns and natural candlelight. The Trillium Community Gallery had beautiful big windows which allowed for natural light during the evening.” – T

# GUESTS: 95

BUDGET: $20,000

DIY: “We love DIY projects but since we purchased a house and got married all within a few months our time was limited. We stained wooden crates, made small chalkboard signs, and a MR&MRS sign for our head table. One of my most favourite DIY projects was the BAR sign we made from wine corks with the help of one of our bridesmaids. This was a Pinterest inspired project that took us an afternoon of carefully hot gluing each and every cork. We also put together small bottles of rosemary infused olive oil for the guest favours. The process to make them took some time, but was well worth it as the guests loved them” – T

BEST MEMORY: “We will never forget that the London Air show was going on the entire day of our wedding. During the middle of our vows the Snowbirds flew overhead and we had to pause because they were so loud. We hope our guests think of our wedding day anytime they see or hear these airplanes. We have made plans for our 1st anniversary to go visit the Fanshawe Pioneer Village and watch the airshow from the conservation area.” – T&L
