RECEPTION: Concordia Club (♥) (concordiaclub.ca) Kitchener, ON “Concordia Club has been a huge part of my life; I’ve been going there since I was born (my father is the President). I have worked there during Oktoberfest since I was of legal age. I was Miss Concordia in 2015. Concordia Club is the best place to go!! The staff is amazing, the venue is awesome and gorgeous, and the food is to die for!” – M

PHOTOGRAPHY: One2One Photography (one2onephotography.ca) Kitchener, ON “I knew Pete from when I was Miss Concordia as he is the photographer for the Concordia Club. It was extremely easy and enjoyable to work with him. He has been in the profession for many years and knows what he is doing.” – M

GUESTS: 185

BUDGET: $20,000

THEME: “Since we are both teachers, we had a slight teaching theme happening. Our seating chart was on an old glass door saying “Classroom of Love”. Cards went into an old desk saying “Report Cards”. Our table centerpieces were mini chalkboards with math equations on them for table numbers stacked on top of textbooks with an apple and flower. Our favours were pencils and a donation to the Chelsea Alvarez Memorial Fund which supports females in the engineering field (in memory of one of my best friends from highschool). Instead of a limo, we rode around in a school bus.” – M

DÉCOR & FLORAL: “Our family friend, Justine did all the décor. I cannot choose a favourite décor element as everything from the candy bar to the head table to the sign in table was simply amazing!” – M

CAKE: Handmade by our friend Emily Panayiotou

BRIDESMAIDS ATTIRE: David’s Bridal (davidsbridal.ca) Cambridge, ON

ADVICE, ONE COUPLE TO ANOTHER: “Planning a wedding is hard work and takes time but be sure to enjoy the process! Try not to stress too much as everything will work out in the end. The best advice we got from people was to be sure to take a couple of minutes during the reception while everyone was having fun and dancing and to sit back together and take it all in. We are so glad we did and would encourage every bride and groom to do the same!.” – M & D
