NovaMarkina Photography captures all the bohemian feels for Kevin and Michele!

Kevin and Michele had a dreamy wedding at Michele’s family farm, filled with gorgeous flowers and a bohemian vibe. With NovaMarkina Photography (novamarkina.com) capturing every moment, they had a day to remember…

Bride & Groom: Kevin & Michele Paiva

Wedding Date: August 18, 2018

Ceremony & Reception Location(s): “Our ceremony was at St George Catholic Church and our reception was at my parents’ family farm.  We wanted to have the wedding there because we both love the grounds at the farm. My brother got married there the year before, and it just felt right!” – M

Colour Palette: “Blush pink and sage green with pops with of fuchsia” – M

Theme: “The theme was very simple and bohemian. We used colourful flowers on the tables, with romantic vintage chandeliers hanging from the ceiling and string lights hanging on the barn doors.” – M&K

Flowers: “Brittany Thuss from Flowers at the Ridge did our flowers. We had dollar eucalyptus, with pops of blush pink, fuchsia, sage green, and greenery.” – M

Décor: “We hired To Suit Your Fancy (tosuityourfancy.com) from London, Ontario. She turned our barn into exactly what we had dreamed of. Lots of romantic lights, white drapery, and wine barrels as guest sign-in tables and a beautiful memory table.” – M

Fav décor element: “The hanging lights from one end of the barn to the other!” – M

Invitations/Stationery: Vista Print

Cake: Grandma’s Oven (grandmasoven.ca)

Wedding favours: Grandma’s Oven – Pastel coloured cake pops

Bridesmaids attire and accessories: Show Me Your Mumu (showmeyourmumu.com)

DJ: DJ Lady Finesse

Hair & make-up: “Jill Lucan, Becky Myers and Sarah Joris from Front Street Salon in Strathroy (facebook.com/frontstreetstrathroy)” – M

Food truck: “We had Rosie’s Streetery (instagram.com/rosies_streetery) food truck come at night and we had tacos and poutine, two of our favourite foods! This was such a hit with all of our guests.” – M

Wedding Planner: “We didn’t have a wedding planner, however, we did have a same-day coordinator who helped us with planning our itinerary and all the details a few weeks before. Plus we had two of their girls at our wedding all day helping with everything–they were amazing!” – M

Photographer: NovaMarkina Photography (novamarkina.com) “We knew Nova Markina from high school. I had followed her photography page on Instagram for quite some time and was always in love with the whimsical look of her photos. We are so glad we had Nova on our big day. She was a dream to work with, and made us feel so relaxed! We loved our engagement photos and all of our wedding photos. I would recommend her 10x over!” – M

Fav wedding memory: “Best memory was taking photos with our wedding party and enjoying that time with them. Then all of our wedding party went to cocktail hour and we got to enjoy 30 minutes or so just the two of us before we headed back to the barn to celebrate with everyone.” – M&K

Advice from one couple to another: “Sounds so cliché, but try not to get caught up in all the details! At the end of the day, everyone is there to celebrate you, so take it all in and enjoy it!” – M&K
