{inspiration} Sweet Lavender

We fell in love with this vision the minute we saw it! The romance, the lavender, the colour…

When we asked Rivkah Photography about the inspiration behind this shoot she had a wonderfully passionate response. “I have been envisioning this for two years and finally we had a farm and the lavender bloom all at the right time. We wanted a whimsical bohemian style. Warm and romantic. Long Meadow Farm has just opened its doors to small wedding ceremonies which is AMAZING! They sell flowers to local Vendors who create magic for other weddings and events. Dahlias, roses, peonies, herbs, lavender and so much more. A florist’s heaven. Lynda showed up with her scissors and ribbon and created all the floral pieces on site. A herb crown for the bride and a blueberry boutonniere for the groom. A massive bouquet full of herbs, blue berries and cafe au lait dahlias! Danielle, of Trend Decor, set us up with the cutest boho decor around with grey, coppers and blush pink glass. We also used the natural elements such as the succulents, cactus and flowers from the farm”.

“We waited out the sun in the blistering heat for 3 hours to get these shots. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky and we all melted a little but we had a great time. Sunset at the farm is something to marvel at. Its romantic and dramatic and everything smells of lavender. You can hear the bees buzzing and see them floating around in the golden rays of the last sun”.
