Staff at the Ring sat down with Angela Douglas to learn more about what this venue has to offer couples.
The Inn of Waterloo Team…
A beautifully renovated, contemporary hotel, The Inn of Waterloo & Conference Centre offers a 45-year tradition of excellence. Located on King Street North in midtown Waterloo, the Inn overlooks a scenic 14-acre conservation creek, making it a picturesque wedding venue.
And part of what makes this venue work so well for weddings and events, is the people. The Inn of Waterloo team consists of the sales manager, chef, events coordinator, food & beverage coordinator and guest services representatives. Together, they deliver a superior guest experience, while ensuring a memorable day.
“Our events team will be with the bride from the beginning to the end of the day ensuring that everything runs smoothly – from carrying lipstick to filling your wine glass,” explains Angela, Sales Manager. Our onsite wedding planner, who is certified with WIPC, assists with all the planning. “As for the menu, Chef Lisa will create the menu of choice in beautiful presentation with the taste and quality to match.”
Chef Lisa, is well respected in the industry and has over twenty years experience., She recently come back to her roots in the Kitchener-Waterloo area and according to Angela, she sees that things are better than ever at The Inn of Waterloo. Aside from cooking for the rich and famous, Chef Lisa holds the 3 times Iron Chef Conestoga College title.
“Hundreds of people have shared their vows, enjoyed their first meal as a couple, danced the night away in this Waterloo landmark and Chef is very proud to be a part of the amazing team to bring the building back to life and create memories for others.”
“We were able to work with both Angela and Christine and they were both amazing,” says Stacy Hornburg.
“Christine Tucker was our main contact for planning our wedding, she was always there to answer any of our questions and flexible to meet up with when needed. She was very knowledge when it came to wedding planning and gave us great advice whenever we were unsure about something. Christine organized and ran through our rehearsal and made sure we were all comfortable for the big day.” According to Stacy, Christine and Angela were available on both the Friday and Saturday of her wedding and they made everything run seamlessly.
“When my train on my dress broke they were both there with safety pins to fix it before I even asked, if we were in a conversation without a beverage Angela always made sure we were good so we didn’t have to leave our guests or just checking in to make sure we were enjoying our night. Christine, Angela and all of the Inn of Waterloo staff were amazing.”
