Historic Hamilton movie theatre style shoot

This styled shoot was based on using a classic theater in the heart of Hamilton Ontario, which is located in one of the city’s most historic buildings. Everything came together for this shoot to create something so beautiful!!

“The colour inspirations came from the red theater style chairs, and the feel of the venue itself. They were hard colours to work with, but we wanted to demonstrate that working with your space and it’s colour palette is so important!” – Kate Rigby Pipan – Westview Events & Florals

“As the ceremony space was the theater itself, we found it important to create something large to pull guests eyes into the center of the stage, and more importantly, the couple! We did this by creating large tree-like posts filled with flowers, to add a unique element to the space.  We put a major focus on the groom getting ready at a local barber shop, as we believe that these details are often missed. We wanted future grooms to be able to connect with this shoot as much as their significant others!” – Kate

“To add a modern element to the day, we had an acrylic invite suite, seating chart, table numbers and signs created. The cake was also very modern with its geometric shapes, and marble base. With this being said, we did try to be mindful of the feel of the space itself, which is why the cake also incorporated some classic details.” -Kate

“We used hot sauce as favours from the barber shop that the groom got ready at, to keep things as local and united as possible. In terms of florals, we wanted to ensure that the red from the venue was incorporated, but softened the colour scheme by adding the blush and a lot of organic greens. The bouquet had a lot less flowers than what we are seeing today, but it’s simplicity is what made is so stunning! It truly was elegant and timeless!” – Kate
