Bekki & Adam were looking for a venue that would offer a space for their ceremony and reception as well as overnight accommodations for their guests. Bride & Groom: Bekki and Adam Warzonek

Wedding Date: April 13, 2019

Ceremony & Reception Location: DoubleTree by Hilton Kitchener ( “Almost all of our guests were from out of town, so to have it at one place where they could show up, and not have to leave until the next day without driving around the city was key. After meeting with Stephanie, we knew that this was the place! Everyone at the hotel was so nice to work with. The chief came out and did our tasting, the bartenders we had were awesome, the front desk staff were so helpful and again Stephanie… I can’t say enough good things about her.” – B&A

Colour Palette: Navy, blush, and silver

Theme: Simple with a baseball underline

Flowers: “We used Le Jardin ( from Cambridge. They put together beautiful bouquets of succulents, white flowers, and greenery, as well as two flower girl crowns.” – B

Décor: “My mom, my sister and I handled all décor. As we were going with a simple theme, there was not too much to it. Also with the DoubleTree being recently renovated, it did not require a lot to make the space special.” – B

Fav décor element: “The brand new chandeliers!” – B

DIY: “We took on a few DIY projects. We had wooden doors as our alter and we did our own centrepieces.” – B&A

Invitations/stationery: “I designed the invitations myself.  Then they were printed by my dad at Accurate Litho And Printing Co. (” – B

Cake: Decadently Yours ( “They made us very tasty gluten-free, vegan cupcakes and wedding cake for our big day!” – B&A

Wedding Favours: “We had blue stress baseballs with our names, hashtag, and date on them. We ordered them through Encore Promotions ( out of Guelph.” – B

Groomsmen and Groom’s attire: “Adam and his brother’s suits was custom from Moore’s Clothing for Men ( The ladies that helped us out there were phenomenal and really knew their stuff. They helped us pick out the best matching accessories, from bowties, pocket squares, belts and shoes.” – B

Bridesmaids attire and accessories: “The dresses were from David’s Bridal ( They all had on matching Stella and Dot bracelets, and they each picked their own earnings and shoes.” – B

Bride’s dress and accessories: “My dress was also from David’s Bridal. I had Andrea as a consultant. She was so fabulous. She knew exactly what I wanted before I knew. She picked out dresses that flattered my shape and helped with the accessories. She even suggested turning a headpiece into a belt, which we ended up doing. It added the perfect amount of bling to the dress.” – B

DJ: “Qua Entertainment (DJ QPid) He kept the party going all night. There wasn’t a time where the dance floor was empty.”

Hair & Make-up: “Hair was done by Loan from European Touch ( Make-up including brows and lashes were done by the beautiful Brittany from Inspirit Beauty Lounge (” – B

Photographer: Red Suitcase Photography ( “They are family friends, and we really like their work. The husband and wife duo (Jessica and Josh) are hilarious and so friendly. My favorite part is how they captured the “real” us and not the posed us.” – B

Biggest Challenge: “I wouldn’t say we had any really big challenges. We are pretty easygoing and just let some things fall into place.” – B

Fav Wedding Memory: “Seeing Adam at the end of the aisle waiting for me, as he saw me for the first time as a bride.” – B

Advice From One Couple to Another: “Things are not going to be perfect. Some things will get forgotten, some things will not work out and some things will just fail. No one will know about any of these things except you. Let the small things go and focus on the end result… Getting Married!” – B
