The Pantone colour of the year is Marsala. “While Marsala might be the trending colour, and popular with some brides, we’re also seeing a lot of blush, champagne, ivory and very pale blue-ish tones to the gorgeous shoes that are peeking out from under wedding gowns,” says Urban Bride’s owner, Simona Gagliostro.
“It seems that everybody is in this mood for pastel colors, for lace and silk with crystals. And that’s not just the dresses.., it’s the shoes too.”
Simona reminds everyone not to forget the metallics – champagne metallic’s, rose gold and pewter metallic. At Urban Bride, where custom shoe colour is their specialty, it’s about making sure that every bride gets exactly the shade that they’re looking for if they choose one of hundreds of dyable shoe designs.
