Strikingly situated above the thundering falls of the Grand River and the Elora Gorge, the Elora Mill Hotel & Spa celebrates 175 years enriched in history and charm. This is everything you need to know to plan an Elora Mill wedding…

Elora Ontario home to stunning cliffs, trails, the gorge & the mill

If you’ve never visited the small town of Elora, you need to. This town has long since become a tourist destination, known for it’s stunning cliffs, trails, gorge, and of course, the Elora Mill, which has now undergone full renovations and restorations by the team at Pearle Hospitality (who also own the Cambridge Mill, Ancaster Mill, Spencer’s at the Waterfront and more).

In keeping with the Pearle Hospitality’s philosophy of authenticity, the hotel design embraces the love of all things local – curated local art, finely crafted furnishings and menu items made from selectively sourced ingredients of nearby farms.

“Our philosophy in approaching this project is all about its sense of place, rooted in the community, inspired by natural beauty and creating a truly authentic guest experience. We will draw on all that makes this destination distinct throughout the year.”

– Aaron Ciancone, President of Pearle Hospitality.

In fact, the area has not been able to offer visitors first-class accommodations and special event spaces until now.

Wedding guests can celebrate your wedding day with you, stay overnight, tour the surrounding shop-filled streets or adventure throughout Elora’s cliffs, trails and gorge. Nearby activities include zip-lining over the gorge, glass-blowing classes, pottery making and some of the best fly fishing in Ontario.

Breathtaking spaces

The traditional beauty of the Granary and its rooftop garden make for a magical backdrop to any special occasion. The former grain store has been converted into two incredible event rooms – The Grand & The Irvine – both of which boast dramatic high ceilings, ornate mouldings, antique mirrors and majestic chandeliers. This piece of rich architectural history has been modernized with state-of-the-art AV solutions and noise reduction technology, all whilst maintaining its rustic character. Indoor and outdoor ceremony spaces cater to the mood and weather of the affair. From the romantic and intimate to the spacious and spirited, no detail is overlooked to achieve that perfect celebratory ambiance.

The Grand

Located on the top floor of The Granary, The Grand spaciously accommodates up to 200 guests. With a rooftop terrace and surrounded by windows overlooking historic Elora, the Grand River and the Elora Mill, its classic European design captures the celebratory spirit of the occasion. No detail is overlooked – from the custom harvest tables to the finishing antique touches on the antique mirrors – The Grand is the perfect setting for your dream wedding.

The Irvine

Start the evening in a bright and fresh cocktail reception area that leads to the grand reveal of The Irvine. This ornate and beautifully detailed room exudes luxury and European charm through opulent mouldings and majestic chandeliers. A rich colour palate and wood-burning fireplace warm the space to create the romance and intimacy you desire on your most special of days.

The Foundry

This former industrial space strikes the perfect balance between rustic and romantic. Dramatic wooden chandeliers and an aisle flanked by reclaimed timber beams are complimented by elegant finishes and a polished marble fireplace. Natural light streams in through the grand windows of this charming limestone chapel to set the perfect ceremonial mood. Saying ‘I Do’ has never felt so heartwarming.
