Personally Speaking…

From your first email to the last meeting, Erin Lister, the wedding sales manager for the Elm Hurst plays a crucial role in every wedding at the inn. She started her career at the front desk, moved into sales within her first year and ultimately became the wedding coordinator. And nineteen years later, Erin has personally helped thousands of couples plan their wedding at the inn.

Erin doesn’t have to do much to prove that she thinks the inn is the perfect place to get married; she had her own wedding there!

Chantal, the inn’s wedding coordinator, takes care of all of the final details when it comes to your wedding day, giving you peace of mind before the big day. Chantal is also there on the day of, to ensure that your day is seamless and stress free.

The opportunity to help couples plan their special day at Elm Hurst keeps Erin and Chantal inspired. Erin told The Ring, “it’s such a happy occasion. It’s wonderful to be able to help with such a special time in their lives.”

Elm Hurst Inn has three all-inclusive packages- silver, gold and diamond- each designed to make your planning process as easy and stress-free as possible. Each package has its perks, covering everything from your ceremony site to the late night buffet. For example, the Silver Package starts at $125 per person, including tax and tip. It includes everything from the room set-up, linens and chair covers, to a three course menu selection and wine during dinner (plus several other extras).

The Gold Package includes deluxe hot hors d’oeuvres and cold canapés, a three course dinner, four hours of basic alcohol service, a late night buffet and many other extras like linens, chair covers and candle centrepieces. This package starts at $175 per person, including tax and tip.

If you opt for the Diamond Package, you’re looking at $200 per person, including tax and tip. It features a four course dinner, six hours of basic alcohol service, floor length linens and napkins, overnight accommodations for the bride and groom, plus many other extras.

And while most couples prefer the all-inclusive package, Erin says à la carte options are available as well, “custom packages from Elm Hurst Inn, are tailored to suit every brides’ wedding taste and theme.”

Favourite things…

For couples that are planning a full weekend wedding event, Elm Hurst Inn & Spa is ‘it’. This is the ultimate all in one location because you can really have it all here; an indoor or outdoor ceremony, your reception, photos, overnight accommodations, rehearsal dinner, spa service, hair and make-up in your guest room or at the spa.

Erin and Chantal want couples to have the best experience possible at the inn so they think it’s crucial to be prompt and helpful with couples and take care of all of the little details so that you don’t have to.

The Inn also prides itself on its food. The chef has over twenty years of experience serving Elm Hurst brides and grooms. Whether you fall in love with an Elm Hurst favourite like Roast Prime Rib of Beef with Yorkshire Pudding, or, a newer menu item such as the Chicken Caprese Chantal says the food is a favourite part of the Elm Hurst experience.

I had my wedding at the Elm Hurst on May 27 2017. We were able to get married on the James Harris lawn, have cocktails on the James Harris patio and the reception in the Grand ballroom (175 guests). Over the months leading up to the wedding, both Erin and Chantal were very helpful and quick with responses. The team that met with me the week prior were very professional and ensured all the unique details were in order and special dietary requests were filled. I absolutely loved having a room the night prior (friday) and the Saturday. We had the Lord Connaught room. The night before we had our rehearsal dinner, than the morning of the bridesmaids and I were able to get dressed, hair and make up done in the room which was so relaxing as it had TONS of space for 6 girls. My ONLY disappointment with the Elm Hurst is that the alcohol during the cocktail reception was ONLY the cocktail. You had to pay extra to have beer, wine etc served during this time and it was rather expensive to do so. I would highly recommend the Elm Hurst. They were professional and the grounds are beautiful.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Elm Hurst Inn. The service we received from Chantal and Erin, the on site wedding coordinators, was extraordinary. I always felt that everything was easy and taken care of. The major selling points that made us initially select the Elm Hurst was the incredible food and the easy going flexibility of the staff. They wanted to make anything we envisioned come to life with as much ease as possible. They really took care of everything. The other staff involved with the wedding day, Mike the Banquet manager, Margaret, our personal server, and Sabrina, our bartender, were all exceptionally friendly, helpful, and on top of everything. My wedding was absolutely perfect thanks to the efforts of everyone at the Elm Hurst Inn.

I can't even put into words how awesome working with the wedding team was, they made planning so easy and were so helpful. They really make you feel like you're the only people getting married there and were happy (&quick) to answer all our questions leading up to the big day. The food was great, the grounds are gorgeous, pair that with the best wedding team around and you'll have your dream wedding!

Chris and I spent the best day of our lives at the Elm Hurst. We were married Sept 3rd 2011 there and it was beautiful. The Elm Hurst was so easy to work with and really helped put your mind at ease. Our wedding was nicknamed from a few people "The Fairy Tale Wedding", and it really was. The scenery, the food, the service, fantastic pick for the bride with dreams of the perfect wedding!
