{Design Palette} Garden Chic with an Art Deco Flare

La Petite Fleur (petitefleur.ca) brought a garden party with an art deco feel to life at Whistle Bear Golf Club (whistlebear.ca) for the wedding of Siobhan and Emmanual. We are swooning over the look and details of this gorgeous wedding day!

Choosing the venue was easy, once the couple visited Whistle Bear in peron. Siobhan told The Ring, “I grew up in Cambridge and knew Whistle Bear to be a gorgeous venue, but I was really sold when I took a tour of the recently renovated grounds and fell in love with the laid-back, luxurious feel.”

The couple really wanted an outdoor wedding, which is why Whistle Bear’s outdoor chapel with the retractable roof gave them the best of both worlds – the outdoor, garden party feel, without the worry about coming up with a plan B if the weather didn’t hold out.

Luckily the weather did hold. “Our wedding day turned out to be absolutely perfect.”

Siobhan and Emmanual envisioned a ‘garden chic’ look to their day. They achieved this with long harvest tables adorned with lush green garlands and pops of soft pink and coral flowers throughout.

Emmanuel had originally proposed amidst beautiful gold lanterns, so when the couple found these same gold lanterns during their wedding planning, they knew that incorporating them would give a nod toward that special time while also looking beautiful atop the long harvest tables.

“We love the mix of soft, ethereal decor with an Art Deco flare,” explains Siobhan. “When Brandy of La Petite Fleur showed me the beautiful gold geometric vessels, I knew they would tie those two looks together seamlessly.”

They also pulled the garden chic feel into their attire as well, with Emmanuel and his groomsmen wearing floral pattern ties and Siobhan wearing a delicate flower crown on top of loose waves and a big braid.
