At Cambridge Hotel and Conference Centre, you’ll have a team of event experts that are there to make your day happen the way you want it to. Your wedding team…

When you get married at Cambridge Hotel and Conference Center you’ll have an entire team dedicated to your wedding day.

You’ll work with one of their experience banquet managers whose job is to oversee reception details such as your set-up, the timeline for your meal, and making sure that enough staff is present the night of.

Your dinner menu is headed up by their Chef, who has several menus that you can choose from. If you don’t see something you love, the team can create a customized menu with your must-haves.

Last but certainly not least, you’ll work with Brandy, the Special Events Manager at Cambridge Hotel and Conference Center. She’s been working in the industry for nine years and is your go to person for all of your wedding questions. She’s there to guide you through all of your planning, from the timing of your cocktail hour, dinner and late night menu to helping you choose your ideal menu. You’ll also do your menu tasting at the hotel and she’ll work with you on the entire set up of the ballroom. She can also recommend some great DJ’s, decorators, or any other vendors that you might need.

Brandy also acts as a liaison for all of your outside vendors. So, while your busy with all of your other wedding details, she’ll work out a timeline with the decorator; what items they need and anything else that might come up. She basically takes care of all of the details that are usually really time-consuming, leaving you to relax and actually enjoy the wedding planning process.

One of our favourite things about Cambridge Hotel and Conference Centre is that you can have your ceremony, reception and accommodation, all under one roof.

Brandy says the beautifully pillared Sussex Ballroom is a wonderful space that can be transformed into anything you’ve been dreaming of, “The reception rooms offer unique attributes to suit different styles of receptions, and are tastefully styled so that your wedding décor is the focus of your guests’ attention. Cambridge Hotel and Conference Centre has 137 guest rooms and suites “we’re amongst the most spacious and luxurious in Cambridge. There’s an à la carte option or, several all inclusive Wedding packages (includes a cocktail reception, dinner wine, a all-inclusive open bar, plated or buffet dinner and late night services). And if you still don’t find the perfect package, Brandy can tailor an individual package just for you!

There are also some great extras included like your choice of black or white chair covers with coloured sashes (a wide variety of colours available), black or white linens (including table cloths and napkins), ceiling canopy, centrepieces, tea lights, risers for your head table, a podium and microphone, a dance floor and a screen and projector for a slide show.

And Brandy’s personalized service means support and advice from your very first meeting, through to the final touches. She’s available whether you’ve got a quick question or you have some big items that you’d like to go over, you can reach her by email, phone or in person anytime.

The Cambridge Hotel & Conference Centre also offers off-site catering and bar service “The Bruce Caboose” and can help plan wedding days off-site with the same quality of catering that offered at the hotel. A mobile catering kitchen on wheels!! They have packages to suit all needs and can customize menus and packages based on a brides preferences and needs.

Brandy has worked on all sorts of weddings, from country chic to winter wonderlands. She says that no matter what you’re thinking of, she can make it happen.

“We work with all sorts of themes and styles but one thing that our couples have in common is that they’re usually fun, local, sweet, down-to-earth people who are obviously in love.”

How to book…

If you’re interested in booking Cambridge Hotel and Conference Centre for your wedding, you can get in touch through email, phone or just drop in! Email is great because Brandy can send you some details that you can look through to get a good idea of the venue.

You’ll get to see their wedding packages and photos of the ceremony and reception site. If you like what you see, you can set up a meeting to go over details. Brandy will hold your date for one month, during which time, she’ll put a proposal together for you. She will also include a quote if you’d like one.

Once you decide to book, Brandy will send you a contract. You have ten days to look it over and put down your deposit. Next, the team at Cambridge Hotel and Conference Centre is ready to help you plan your perfect wedding day!

Details, details, details…

• The average bride spends $5000-$15,000 with Cambridge Hotel
• It’s best to book six months to a year ahead of your wedding date
• A $1000 deposit is required to secure your date
• HST applies
• Other fees include 15% gratuities, SOCAN fees and Re:sound fees.

“The Cambridge Hotel is a great place to face your wedding reception! I had my Wedding Reception here on September 25th 2015. The prices were reasonable and the service was great, all the staff were fun and helpful and the food was great (we had so many guests telling us how amazing the food was afterward). Brandy the event manager who was in charge of my reception was wonderful from the very beginning, both my husband and I really thought she was great, we were down to two venues and she was big part of the reason we chose this venue and I am glad we did. On the day of our wedding I was getting ready in the hotel room when my flowers arrived and they were awful, not even close to what I had ordered. I called my florist to ask for an explanation and to see if she could fix this but she had no intent to fix the problem. I decided to not worry as I did not want to ruin the day but my bridesmaids did tell Brandy about the problem. As soon as Brandy heard, she came up with some champagne and OJ for us and asked to see the flowers. One of the things I wanted was an all rose bouquet for my bouquet but I got a mix of carnations and hydrangeas and two roses in the bouquet. Brandy called their florist Kim (From the Creative Bride) and made me my rose bouquet in time for me to leave for the ceremony! It was perfect! I had my Wedding Reception here on September 25th 2015. The prices were reasonable (you get a lot in the package we chose) and the service was great, all the staff were fun and helpful and the food was great (we had so many guests telling us how amazing the food was afterward). We got so many compliments that the ballroom was so beautiful and that the staff was so friendly. Brandy the event manager who was in charge of my reception was wonderful from the very beginning, both my husband and I really thought she was great, we were down to two venues and she was big part of the reason we chose this venue and I am glad we did. On the day of our wedding I was getting ready in the hotel room when my flowers arrived and they were awful, not even close to what I had ordered. We also got a free nights stay in the hotels presidential suite which includes a jacuzzi tub and separate living room with a fireplace which was really nice, we got an extra nights stay for a very cheap price too so that we would be in the hotel the night before the wedding so the groom would leave and the bridal party could get ready there to make things easier. The room was really clean and well maintained, decor was modern but warm and the bed was quite comfortable. It was very pleasant experience from start to finish.
