Spring

Spring is sweet and hopeful. This season, and its look, is all about transition - from winter to summer and bride to soul mate. It hints of fresh new beginnings and possibilities in the summer days ahead. Melissa brings all of these elements to life, beginning with her  “Casablanca” style gown from Enzoani Blue ($1838), which is white with chiffon and lace with an overlay and scalloped hemline. “Crisp, delicate white lace accentuated by the sleek, slender lines of the mermaid silhouette provide the perfect canvas for a radiant Spring bride amid the awakening gardens,” says Rose Schuett from Couture Threads. The Bolero, also from Enzoani ($420), is perfect for the cool weather that can still linger in early Spring. The look is finished with striking silver and crystal chandelier earrings with matching bracelet.

Sabrina Quessy at Evolution kept Melissa’s hair simple so as not to compete with the extravagant hairpiece. Erika Snyder used soft pinks on Melissa’s eyes with dark lines and bright lips to exude a fresh, Spring feel.

Natalie Kerslake of Village Vines featured peonies, calla lilies, roses, bells of Ireland, freesia and lily of the valley in this quintessential Spring bouquet with complementary tones and flowers with a bit of rhinestone crystals for some sparkle. The handle is dressed up with a rose embroidered ribbon. “It’s a bouquet fit for a princess herself - looks as soft as icing and smells like it too,” says Natalie.
