Why The Ring?

The Ring is different from most wedding web sites and magazines because we go further than advertising for vendors or basic wedding tips for brides. Each advertiser Interviews & Reviewed in The Wedding Ring selects wedding professionals for their reputation, their cool-factor, and by the the fact that we've met them, like them, and want to tell you all about them.

Having interviewed and reviewed over 1000 vendors in the span of 8 years, we specialize in spotting fabulous talent a mile away. That said, many vendors come to be reviewed based on recommendations to The Ring by other brides and wedding industry experts. 

Brides can feel safe in the knowledge that The Ring's staff has done its homework - researched, interviewed, checked references, and more - to find great services that can work with all different tastes, budgets and preferences. You'll have lots of options to plan the perfect wedding but not so many that you don't know where to start. The Wedding Ring is a community and a concept that's designed all around what real brides need and what professional wedding vendors have every right to expect.

Hiring: What's a bride to do?

When there are thousands of florists and hundreds of photographers... how do you choose? By getting free access to all of the details, prices, options and recommendations you'd normally spend months trying to find. The Ring is changing the way Vancouver Island area brides plan weddings.

The staff at Wedding Ring Inc. have met with, interviewed, reviewed, and viewed the references of the work of all vendors listed here. Each review is written by theweddingring.ca staff, however is paid for by the vendors in order to keep this service free for brides. We have used our own collections of reviews to plan weddings and events of our own as well as of our friends and family.

Our measuring stick is simple: if we wouldn't hire a vendor to do our own wedding, we wouldn't review them for you. Please be sure to recommend any vendors you feel should be a part of this and are not.

That doesn't mean we don't need to recommend using your own research and caution as well. To the best of our knowledge, we feel that these vendors will provide superior service and talent on your wedding day. We DO NOT, however, guarantee the work of any service, company or incorporation. Please always refer to your own personal judgment in any situation. If something feels 'off', go with your gut. And be sure to tell us your concerns. Valid, legitimate, unresolvable complaints against any reviewed vendor in The Ring may result in their removal from the site.

We are excited and proud to say that many brides say they don't know how they would've planned their wedding without the online resources and reviews in The Ring - including our own current and past team members who are part of the research and review process.
