Our vision

BRIDES UNITE! JOIN THE RING. To unite brides, vendors, and wedding planning research together in one big internet space, one community at a time.

GET LOCAL. PLAN FABULOUS! To do all the research footwork so that brides don’t have to. To be the one resource that’s focused locally enough and researched extensively enough that brides will wonder how they ever would have planned without The Ring.

Our core belief: Focus on the bride and all else will follow.

How we're getting there

Wedding Ring Inc. is a media company that utilizes innovative media methods and platforms (web, print, retail store distribution, bridal show production, special and community events and more) to reach brides with answers to questions they haven’t had the chance to answer yet.

Wedding Ring Inc. is made up of a team of committed, wedding-inspired, media professionals who work together, playing by our own Rules of the Game, to create a positive atmosphere whereby any personal and company goals are possible.

We are in the business of changing the way brides plan weddings. We do this by researching, reviewing and offering brides information they would normally have to find themselves - applicable, local, realistic details on planning a wedding in their community.

We are also in the business of changing the way wedding vendors look at advertising. We do this by offering advertising opportunities that focus on identifying and promoting each vendor for what he/she/they are best at. These opportunities offer the highest value and return for investment, while honouring what brides needs and want most - layman's terms research on who we love and why we love them.

And to make sure that we always have brides' best interests at heart, The Ring checks references and restricts any non-factual editing of reviews by the vendors being reviewed. Vendors pay so that brides don't have to. The result is that brides save months of planning footwork while vendors find a unique, highly effective and targeted connection to their targeted brides - the brides who are looking for exactly what they have to offer. In their style and at their prices.

Our team uses a unique combination of research, design and editorial talents to deliver information that real brides can use - realistic, applicable, detailed wedding resources for brides, one community at a time.

Laura and Heather as little flower girls!Decades of wedding experience + a fabulous sister team = The Wedding Ring Vancouver Island

Ever since Laura Kalcsa and her sister Heather walked down the aisle as children in powder blue flower girl dresses, they've been involved with and fascinated by every aspect of weddings. This interest developed into wedding planning and floral design/decorating (with help from Laura's long suffering husband, Jeff).

Laura was impressed by the Wedding Ring’s desire and ability to help others fulfill their wedding dreams. She found herself advising other brides to look up TheWeddingRing.ca when they had questions she could not answer, and was particularly impressed by the ever growing number of "Wedding Ring" brides she found herself working with. She followed Jennifer and Anne's success online and, when contemplating a move to BC, realized that TheWeddingRing.ca was an idea that would excel on Vancouver Island. Heather (an islander for over 18 years), asked her, “Why don’t you email them and ask?”. Sometimes, your sister is just right, so Laura emailed Jennifer and Anne and the rest is history. Laura is happy to thank Heather for her wise and practical advice! And very excited to be joining TheWeddingRing.ca team!
