Trash the Dress shoots are more popular than ever with Toronto photographer

Photography by Manuela Stefan Photography

Whether you call it trash the dress (TTD), rock the dress, or immortalize the dress, what girl doesn't want to wear her gown again? Especially if it means getting some killer,runway-meets-grunge style fashion shots she would never have dared (or had to time) to take on her wedding day.

Trash the Dress shoots mean being able to get more romantic, more daring and having limitless options for photos, and they rarely result in actually ruining your dress. Toronto photographer, Manuela Stefan, says that TTD shoots are crazy popular right now, and she's showing us why.

Heather: The sky was the limit

Heather and Christian got married last August and Manuela captured it all. A year after their wedding, Christian contacted Manuela and booked a TTD shoot to surprise Heather with for their first anniversary. "He knew his wife would be absolutely thrilled to wear her gorgeous dress again," Manuela told us.

Manuela headed to Barrie on a beautiful September day for a fun shoot with Heather, who Manuela says looked stunning and was playful and daring during the shoot - obvious by her willingness to get completely into the water. The bride posed on land, in the water, and Christian even brought a canoe for her to float around in.

Oh, and in case you were wondering, Manuela assured us that the dress is doing just fine and it didn't suffer any injuries during the process.
