Christine & Juan: Timeless elegance at Toronto's Old Mill

We recently discovered Tara West Boutique Wedding Photography (www.tarawestphotography.com) and use many of our free moments lurking her blog, which is where we discovered Christine & Juan's May 2010 wedding at Toronto's Old Mill. The wedding looked so beautiful that we had to find out more and share it with you.
Tara says she loved this wedding because the couple was so laid back and easy going, both during the planning process and the day of. "Christine had some concerns that Juan, being a little camera shy, might not want to play with us that day," she adds. "Well, by the time we were done, Juan was stellar with his sweet smiles and I was ready to go get him an agent!"

Christine & Juan's wedding was planned and booked about six weeks before their wedding date because they didn't want all the stress that seems to come with a long wait before their special day. "And once I met Christine and Juan, that process made sense... they are an easy going, fun couple," says Tara. So, 'why wait?', they thought.

Even on a short timeframe, Tara says that their wedding was as beautiful and detailed as a wedding with a longer planning process. "Nothing seemed missed from my perspective."

Both Christine and Juan included their children in their wedding day, too. Christine's son, Christian, and Juan's daughter, Alexis, were thrilled about the families joining together and enjoyed the events of the day. "They were perfect," Tara says. "And shared in every bit of all the joy and love, hugs and kisses that went around that day."
This added an extra special feeling to the wedding as well, since it wasn't just about two people joining, but about two families blending, which Tara admits had her in tears several times throughout the day. Happy tears, of course.

Update: Since their wedding this past Spring, Christine and Juan wasted no time and just bought a new house, a dog, and are thrilled to announce that they're expecting. "It has been my complete pleasure getting to know these two," adds Tara. "I look forward to capturing their family again at another very special moment in their lives."
