An Extreme Ring Makeover

A new online community area offers customizable profiles, friends lists, wedding walls, photo albums, fan pages, chat boards, bulletins and soooo much more. Brides and experts alike can create and update their profiles at whim. 

From cosmetics and attitude to functionality and fun stuff, The Ring has taken your favourite online wedding community to the next level. Over the past months, the team @ The Ring has been developing new ways to simplify the way Ontario brides plan weddings, and as a result, have developed fabulous & fun ways to unite brides together with other brides AND with the experts they know and love, all in one community. The idea is to leave you wondering how you ever survived without The New Wedding Ring before today!

Some of The Ring's new web site features include:

• A new online community area offers customizable profiles, friends lists, wedding walls, photo albums, fan pages, chat boards, bulletins and soooo much more. Brides and experts alike can create and update their profiles at whim. 

• Easier to search reviewson the experts we love. Read about your favourite vendors.

• Raise your bridal (or expert's) karma by saying nice things about the experts you love. Spread the love, keep it positive, and give your stamp (in words) of approval on the people, favourite things and fabulous spaces you think every bride should know about.

• Check out the latest 'Favourite Things' (still in progress) selected by local wedding experts and the team at The Wedding Ring.

• Inspiration Galleries (still in progress) will profile the best in weddings, from bouquets and wedding favours to gowns and sweet cake designs. These galleries are created by experts and by The Ring.

• Save your favourites - reviews, favourite things or fabulous spaces - for later so that you've got them all in one location at the click of a button.

• Import your twitter or Facebook® status to your Ring Status or invite your friends to join too.

• Take a couple of our new pollsfor fun. They're basically empty of results now, so have at it!

• Tell everyone.

Sticking with the things you love: 

• Reviews on the experts are still The Ring's biggest and most popular component of the web site. Click on the city you're getting married in from the top menu and then select REVIEWS. You'll find that navigating the reviews sections are dramatically easier, with drop-down search boxes at the top of each review. 

• Tips & Tricksare still a big part of The Wedding Ring, but they've got a new name - Bride Savvy!

• Weekly eNEWS will be sent out to all members of The Wedding Ring. By joining this new site, you're not only agreeing to be part of a community that's geared entirely to your wedding, but you're agreeing to receive the latest news on shows, sales, experts, and brides in your area - all to your inbox. Unfortunately, if you're not interested in receiving eNews, you're not able to join The Ring community. 

• Links to local experts' web site are listed in each city of The New Wedding Web Site.

PLEASE NOTE :: Until July 27th or so, some components might not be enabled.

What now?

• Join The (NEW) Ringto begin setting up your profile. An activation link will be sent to by email. (If you're a wedding expert reviewed in The Ring, your profile has already been set up for you. • Once you're in, set up or update your profile with a new avatar and wedding details. 

• Take The Ring for a test drive, get comfortable with the new options. Find your favourite brides and experts and add them to your friends lists. Find your favourite experts' reviews and tell the world how awesome they are.
