Reviewing Susan Casey, Show Coordinator, Welcome Wagon Cambridge Bridal Showcase
Review is written by Staff @ The Ring and is based on • Interviews with this vendor • Our experiences
Welcome Wagon has been a household name for over seventy-five years. Starting out by delivering goodie bags of wedding resources and personally explained tips to brides in need, they've since spread their wings into full-fledged bridal shows that draw between 150 and 250 brides to each event. These shows offer fashion shows, sponsor exhibits and prizes from each sponsor.
Susan Casey, Show Coordinator for the Cambridge Welcome Wagon Bridal Showcases, says, "Brides that come to one of the Welcome Wagon shows do so because it is smaller. There is more opportunity to give personal attention to each bride coming through our doors. Our wedding service providers get a chance to speak with each bride and answer questions, and explain their services."
An evening in the life of a Bridal Showcase...
This year, the Cambridge Bridal Showcase will overtake the Armenian Community Centre in Cambridge, which is located at 15 International Village Drive. On Monday, October 3, 2011 from 6 pm to 9 pm, brides will have a chance to visit fabulous, local exhibits from top wedding professionals offering the newest ideas in wedding planning.
"Area brides-to-be can find their dream dresses, tuxedos for grooms and hotel accommodations for their guests," says Susan. "They can view a photographer’s stunning portfolio, sample delicious wedding cake, book a beautiful limousine as well as plan their unforgettable honeymoon, and so much more… all in one day and at one convenient location."
During the Bridal Showcase, thousands of dollars in door prizes (generously donated by the show's sponsors) are given to attendees, including the Grand Door Prize provided by Brentwood Livery. This year the prize (worth $500!) is "A Night on the Town in Pristine Luxury", which is a five hour limo package for up to eight people.
All attending brides also have a chance to win a romantic honeymoon getaway courtesy of Today’s Bride magazine. Plus, as more incentive (as if you needed more!), the first 100 brides to arrive at the show will receive a free gift bag full of goodies.
Admission to the show is free for you and one guest, but by invitation only. Call to register at 1-877-675-8463 or visit them online at www.welcomewagon.ca.
