Wall-to-wall renovations and on-site wedding décor puts Maltese Club in the spotlight for upcoming London weddings
Reviewing the President & Banquet Manager, Maltese Canadian Club
Review is written by Staff @ The Ring and is based on • Interviews with this vendor
When a bride searches for a reception or a ceremony location, she has a mental wish list of criteria she wants to fill, from budget and menus to capacity and appearance. The staff and management at Maltese Canadian Club got our attention when they decided to completely renovate and upgrade their event centre, professionally decorate each space with ready-to-use wedding décor and essentially, rolled out the red carpet to London brides.
With a capacity of up to 250 guests and prices that are easy to love, Maltese Canadian Club has earned its place in the spotlight and on your wedding invitation. Let us explain...
In 2004, the club decided to take their service up to the next level by hiring a professional interior designer and undertaking wall-to-wall renovations.
From a new ceiling and chandelier to freshly painted colours on the walls and new décor in the bathrooms, this wasn't a small project. Banquet Manager and President agree, "The renovations were worth the wait. People were astounded by the difference."
Since the unveiling of Maltese Canadian Club's newly renovated location, the President and Banquet Manager find that weddings are the first item of business each day and the last detail to cater to each week... And that's exactly how they like it.
"After twenty years, we've never had a complaint," says the President. With their new look, it's only going to continue getting better. "Our number one focus has always been to offer the best wedding location and catering service a bride and groom could ask for."
When staff at The Ring toured the facilities, the menus, and the club's nearly unlimited supply of options, it was easy to tell that their banquet staff are as focused on providing a perfect wedding day as their brides would be.
Before your guests even arrive, staff, chefs, and servers at Maltese Canadian Club are preparing for your wedding. When your guests arrive, they are greeted with white glove service at the door. While they await the bride and groom's arrival, they will sip on coffee, tea, or champagne surrounded by wedding décor, neutral wall floor colours, silky fabrics in shades of white and taupe and lighting designed for the mood of a wedding day. After making your grand entrance, you have the option of serving a plated or buffet-style menu before speeches and dancing.
Because it is often the service details that are remembered most, servers are formally dressed and cater to your guests in a 1:4 (server:tables of eight guests) ratio to ensure that each person in attendance gets the attention they deserve.
Late night snacks or serving up your wedding cake can be done later in the evening before the evening ends at 2 am or earlier.
When the evening is over, the details and clean-up are taken care of by Maltese Canadian Club staff so that the only thing you need to worry about is your honeymoon.
When you first visit, the Banquet Manager will give you a full tour throughout the facility. The first things you'll notice when you enter are the ceramic floors, neutral toned walls, columns, lights, greenery, a ceiling treatment and the large dance floor. Because the room is already dressed to impress, it's easy to envision your wedding day here. You'll find yourself picturing how your centrepieces and wedding cake will look and where you'll dance your first dance as husband and wife.
They will then walk you through menus, event options, and the different ways this location can fit into your wedding budget and style. It's at this time that you'll ask questions and either book a follow-up appointment or your wedding date.
Throughout the planning process, you will have the Banquet Manager to remind you of things you may forget, offer suggestions, and assure you that things are taken care of as you approach your wedding day. He regularly corresponds with clients by phone, email and in person. "It's important to us that our brides and grooms know we are here for them and are ready to accommodate them in any way that we can."
