After tons of research- including talking to past brides-we knew that Auberge du Petit Prince (link) served incredible food, handmade from scratch. So when we heard about the wedding cakes from their sister company, Petit Paris, we jumped at the chance to sample (in the name of research….of course).
Owner Nicole Arroyos puts the same care into her cakes as she does her restaurant. With fresh ingredients and customized cakes made from scratch, Petit Paris offers popular favourites that couples go crazy for. But they can also create something totally unique that means something special to you on your wedding day.
Whether you’re looking for a modern twist on carrot cake or a traditional vanilla flavoured butter cream cake, these customized creations are an absolute hit at every reception. Here’s why….
One of a kind creations….
It’s a combination of experience and training at some of the top culinary schools in the world that makes cakes from Petit Paris so good.
Amanda does the initial work on all of the cakes. An Executive Chef, she trained in Paris, France before specializing her training in wedding cakes at the Culinary Institute of America. She’s been creating custom cakes for special occasions for ten years.
Nicole does all of the detailing and finishing touches on the cakes. She also studied in Paris, at the Lyon France Institute for two years before attending the Culinary Institute of America to specialize in wedding cakes.
Together they work to create one of a kind cakes that look and taste incredible, “each cake is elegantly tailored, much like a ‘haute couture’ designer creation that is never duplicated!”
Today they’ve created over two hundred custom made wedding cakes for local brides.
And Nicole is just as passionate today as she was when she started, “I love it…designing and making wedding cakes is my hobby. I love doing the special details on each cake, and since I love baking in general, making unique cakes gets my creative juices going!”
Amanda’s reasons for her passion for wedding cakes are a little bit different, “I love working with brides …it relaxes me”
The ingredients
We love that Petit Paris uses only the finest and freshest ingredients, making everything from scratch at their restaurant and reception venue, Auberge du Petit Prince (link)
“Our cakes are all made with pure butter, French chocolate, heavy cream & organic flour. We do not use preservatives or artificial flavourings.”
You can choose butter cream or fondant for your cake base, with white chocolate and dark chocolate fondant options for chocolate fanatics.
If you have a specific flavour or style of cake in mind, Petit Paris welcomes your ideas, “we encourage your vision for your cake in order to create something that is unique to your day!”
Petit Paris can create any customized cake you’ve been dreaming of. No matter what size, style, flavour or colour you have in mind.
They can also accommodate any special health requests that you have. For example, they can make celiac cakes for couples with special dietary needs.
