Neither Laura or Steve are crazy for fresh cut flowers, so Laura made all of the wedding day flowers (bouquets, brooches, boutonnières, arrangements) herself out of leather, buttons (as a throwback to her button selling role at the renaissance festival) and floral wire. “The leather was hand-cut, hand-stitched and the final product took hundreds of hours to assemble,” says Laura. But, she adds that it was worth it because they could be made ahead of time and they were a conversation piece the whole night.

All stationery – invitations, signage and logos – was designed by Laura’s bridesmaid, Erin Cooper, who works in graphic design and creates posters for local bands. “Her style was exactly what we were looking for and we couldn't beat the cost,” which was free.
