Huron County a hot spot for gorgeous outdoor weddings

In our search for the best of the best in Huron County, we talked to some of the wedding vendors we know and trust to find out more about what this vast and beautiful countryside has to offer. Here's what we found...

Luann Taylor, Owner of Luann's Flowers & Gifts in Goderich, says that Huron County is "Ontario's West Coast", an area likely known best for its scenery, hospitality, accommodations, charm and beaches.

Many couples set forth on their wedding days for outdoor photos, but sometimes finding the perfect location can be difficult. This doesn't seem to be the case for Huron County as Luann told us that some of the best locations for outdoor photographs are Goderich Train Station, Blyth Greenway Trail, Goderich Beach, Bayfield Pioneer Park and The Benmiller Inn's gardens – the last three of which can also be used for outdoor ceremonies.

Some other fabulous outdoor wedding locations in Huron County, according to Luann:
- Harbour Park in Goderich
- Bayfield Town Hall
- Blue Water Shores
- And of course, everyone's favourite, Hessenland Country Inn

She adds that Huron Shores and many of the lovely old churches in Goderich and Bayfield are also gorgeous indoor locations for both ceremonies and receptions.

Nancy Snell, Owner of NJS Design & Party Rentals in Clinton, agreed with Luann's photography locations and added that on top of the Goderich train station, Blyth also has one that's great for outdoor photos. Nancy adds that some great indoor locations include St. Peter's Catholic Church or St. James in Seaforth, both of which have balconies for photos.

But the coolest thing that Nancy told us about is The Livery in Goderich, which is a stage theatre that can be rented out for wedding receptions. 
 
Nancy lives and works in Huron County. She explains, "Huron and Perth County has the best network of vendors… we offer everything that is available in the city with one great advantage – you will likely deal with the owner themselves when you book your services/products. As small businesses we have a vested interest is making every event a success."
