Lauren & Matt: An Education in Love

Lauren and Matt Rush are a fun couple who met while they were both attending the University of Guelph, which played a significant role in their relationship, and subsequently, their wedding as the reception was held on campus at Creelman Hall.

Kurt Brown from Two Tone Studios was there to capture Lauren and Matt back in their element, telling us that they were able to shoot in Massey Hall and the drama classroom where the couple first met.

Another significant spot for Lauren and Matt around campus was a wall where they shared their first kiss, and here, their first kisses as husband and wife.

Kurt told us that one of his favourite images from the day was capturing a guest taking pictures of the newlyweds with their iPhone. It's not unusual to find Kurt photographing guests who are taking pictures of the bride and groom; but what made this one even cooler was the fact that the image was being sent on the spot to family members in Russia who couldn't make it to the wedding. "She was doing this throughout the day to update the members," Kurt adds.

For most of their relationship Lauren and Matt have been in school, so in January 2010 they decided to take it one step further and ventured to New Zealand for more education, and to another school that would play a significant role in their relationship.
