For Ontario Experts: Call for Collaboration
For the September 2012 magazine
Want to reach more brides, show them what you've got, and book more weddings? Submit your content to the next issue of The Wedding Ring Magazine.
Favourite things, fab flowers, accessories to die for, useful expert tips, and more... Each issue of the magazine is about putting you in the headlines while inspiring brides to plan fabulous, local weddings. Join us! This is our favourite part of doing the magazine - it's our chance to get your insight, creativity and experience into the headlines (or by-lines, as the case may be) of The Wedding Ring Magazine.
Here's what you can submit on or before April 30th, 2012
EXPERT TIPS & TRENDS
A few ideas for tips and trending topics you could submit as a local Ontario wedding expert...
> Bridal fashion style tips > Wedding theme/decor/styling tips and trends > Trending Topics and Predictions for Fall 2012/Winter 2013 > What's hot in weddings (in your category of expertise) right now > Best bridal shoes ever! (a great option for bridal shops to submit, as well as photographers to show > Best bouquets ever! > Unique wedding ceremony or reception locations - outdoors preferrably, private space rentals such as family farms > What not to do, Dos & Don'ts lists > Top 10 favourite wedding dance songs - first dance, father/daughter dance, wedding party dance... > Best piece of advice from you to brides > Budgeting tips > Other useful content ideas
Note: Don't overthink the writing aspect of sharing your expertise. The team at The Ring is happy to receive bullet-point lists that we can edit and expand for you. Chances are, we’ll be editing for content and space anyways, so go ahead and write what you know best. If you do go ahead with a full article format, write as tips as if you were offering it to a bride in person with plain, conversational English and to the point.
** Be sure that your submission has a professional photo accompanying it (in high resolution).
REALITY WEDDING STORIES
Submit 8-10 photos from your favourite wedding from the past year. Or, send us a link to the wedding in your blog, Facebook, online album, whatever is easiest.
What we’re looking for... > A wedding that included several of The Ring's reviewed vendors - let's support and promote each other! > A wedding you were a part of that raised the bar for unique wedding details, creative ideas, cool couples & love story, fabulous locations, and/or an original theme > Ultra high end weddings
Briefly tell us...
> how this wedding was unique
> date & location
> whether any other Ring vendors were involved (to your knowledge)
FAVOURITE THINGS
Send in bride-savvy items that you know are new, unique, fun and stylish for the upcoming Fall/Winter 2012 issue. Your favourite things from 2011 & 2012 events can range from a trend to a specific service to a unique favour, gift, cake, accessory, piece of décor.

* Don't forget that Favourite Things will be photographed at The Ring's office and will need to be sent in or dropped off by April 30th. Expect phoduction to need your items for roughly two weeks. We will contact you for pick-up/return times once the shoot is completed. The Ring will not be picking up, delivering, or shipping items at our own expense, so please budget time or funds to get your items to and from the office. Thank you!

AD SPACE
Ad space in TWR magazine still offers the largest sized print ads at the lowest prices within the most locally targeted demographic, Southwestern Ontario from London to Toronto, Brantford to Guelph. We also still include an hour of advertising design at no charge, which covers most ad designs, start to finish.
Not a believer? Check out ad rates in other wedding magazines to find that they either have smaller ad sizes, higher prices, lower local circulation, or in many cases, all of the above.
Ring Rates: Qtr Pg $550 (or $375 ea x 2 mags) | Half Pg $750 (or $575 ea x 2 mags) | Full Pg $1250 (or $975 ea x 2 mags)
If you'd like to increase your branding and print marketing exposure, please place your ad by April 30th by email (see below) or online.
Artwork will be due by May 14th. Final artwork and ad approval will be due by May 30th.
