Wedding #2 July 18, 2009: Focused on fun

The first wedding I was in since I was a flower girl in grade 2, I was extremely excited (and humbled) when my high school friend, Kathryn, asked me to be her Maid of Honour. Tony was privileged enough to make the wedding party cut, too.

The day started pretty early, but my fatigue was soon forgotten by the luxury of the limo that drove us literally everywhere. He picked me up at 8:15 am and took all of the girls for our up-dos and mimosas.

Wedding #3 August 15, 2009: All You Need Is Love

The second wedding I was lucky enough to be a part of this summer took place in Pasadena California (a suburb of Los Angeles) between my elementary school friend, Kathryn (who we call Kat due to the amount of friends in our group with the same name and spelling) and her American fiancé, Justin.

Tony and I spent six days in sunny Cali helping Kat prepare for the big day. I got to celebrate at an orange themed shower thrown by the groom's sisters in Orange County, a tame bachelorette party with a tea party spa pampering. Myself, the other bridesmaids, family and friends also helped create bouquets, centrepieces, favours and decorate the ballroom.

Wedding #4 August 22, 2009: Culture and class

From Portuguese entertainment to fruit shaped ice cream, Brent and Michelle's wedding was an extravagant, fun affair from beginning to end. Tony met Brent at his place of employment and I soon after fell in love with Michelle's cute and bubbly personality – they're both just big teddy bears and so cute together!

The day began at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Mississauga. Brent couldn't stop staring at Michelle as she walked down the aisle after her burgundy clad bridesmaids (though I can't blame him!). There was a bit of rain when we got out of the ceremony but guests still serenaded the newlyweds with bubbles before they hopped in their limo bus and drove off to their photo shoot.
