This morning, Vital Statistics Clerk, Devon Hogue, contacted The Ring to update us on the costs, options and details of getting married at City Hall in Cambridge. Here's what she told us...

The City of Cambridge performs weddings ceremonies on Friday afternoons between 1pm and 4pm in their newly renovated Council Chambers which is located at 46 Dickson Street on the 3rd floor.

• A City Hall wedding costs $200

• A $100 cash deposit is required to book a time and date and then $100 cash is due on the date of the wedding to the minister.

• Last year they performed 108 City Hall weddings and issued 605 marriage licences

• October was the most popular month for a City Hall wedding (17) and August was the most popular month to obtain a marriage licence (103)

Marriage licenses in Cambridge

• Cost: $115 

• Application can be picked up from  the Clerk's Division at Cambridge City Hall, 2nd Floor, 50 Dickson Street or downloaded online

• Application needs to be signed by both parties to the marriage

• Application & required ID should be submitted in peron by one or both parties to the Office of the City Clerk at Cambridge City Hall, 2nd Floor, 50 Dickson Street

• Licenses are issued same day and are good for 90 days
