Who can attend The Brides' Ball? What does Wedding Chic attire mean? How many can fit at a table? Should I eat first? You asked. We answered. Here's what we're doing, how we're doing it, and why you'll want to come!
1. Who can attend The Brides' Ball?
Anyone who is 19+ and wants to dress up in wedding chic attire and give back for a great cause, can attend. The Brides' Ball is your chance to wear your gown again, if you've already said I Do. It's also a chance to pulll your favourite bridesmaids' gown or best cocktail dress out of the close, if you haven't played the part of a bride just yet. For the guys,
it's a chance to dress and impress the woman you love in a sexy suit or a tux. Play the part of the prince for an evening and take the woman you love for another spin on the dance floor. The Brides' Ball is attended by single, dating, married, almost-married and previously married men and women. Who doesn't love cocktails, h'ors doeuvres, entertainment, dancing and prizes?
2. What does Wedding Chic attire mean?
Bridal formal or wedding chic attire just means that this evening is your chance to take it up a notch. Last year, we filled the dance floor with bridal gowns and sexy suits and this year, we're hoping for even more bridal formal style. Bridal gowns aside, the Ball is about having fun getting fancy. Suits, tuxes, cocktail dresses, bridesmaids gowns, and of course, bridal gowns, are welcome. A tiara shop is on-site for the girls when they arrive, staffed with girls to help get that perfect princess look. Tiaras typically cost $20, thanks to sponsor Macy Fair Inc. who has provided sparkly, diva-style headbands, tiaras and combs for the event. All gorgeous get-ups are welcome.
3. How many can fit at a table?
The 2nd Annual Kitchener Brides' Ball has gone glam this year. Think 'celebrity after party' instead of formal wedding reception. That said, the location will be decked to the nines with all things pink and sparkly. What this means is that seating areas will be throughout the space, gatherings of couches, cruiser tables, and chairs will the be there when you need it, but you'll be more likely to spend the evening mingling , dancing, bidding and winning, than sitting.
4. Should I eat first?
The Kitchener Brides' Ball will be serving food h'ors deouvres throughout the evening instead of a sit-down meal. You might want to grab a bit to eat since the Ball begins at 7:30pm.

10. How do I run a Brides' Ball promotion?
Last year, countless local retailers created their own promotions to raise money for The Brides' Ball cause. From discounted bridal gowns with proceeds to the cause TO actively canvassing local neighbourhoods in search of donations. It was incredible. If you have an idea or want to join in the fundraising, email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
Just think what you could do to help if you included Brides' Ball tickets in every big-ticket item sold next week? Or how much you could raise if you donated $1 from every sale? All these donations would go directly to the Waterloo-Wellington Breast Centre (WWBC) at the Grand River Hospital to help speed up breast cancer screening, close to home. The Brides' Ball can direct funds to the foundation or you can do so directly. Just be sure to let us know how much you raised so we can brag and blog about it wherever possible!
